I am on my sabbatical. Continue to post here if you wish. Just know that I'm not even going to check my journal or even the main page. Cold turkey.

I'll be back the 23rd. May all of you have fun and be safe.

I am available on yahoo msgr, just check my profile for the username.

Blessed Be

Yeah so, I found out...

It sounds like you're in desperate need of this sabbatical...it's
funny because I just said the exact same thing to my best freind
yesterday; that I need a break away from people. It is essential to
the nourishment of life. I hate to use the "C" word, but it seems to me
that the only way to heal from this Linda thing is to find closure, whether
through confrontation as other's have suggested, or through yourself. Ideally
both. Whatever gives you meaning, in any sense, cannot be invalidated. This
is something I'm working on at the moment. I also can't wait to get back to school.
Enjoy your time away, but I hope to hear from you soon.

In the words of Terry Pratchett, from the Thief of Time novel.

'Everyone has a conditional clause in thier life, some little unspoken addition to the rules like 'except when I really need to' or 'unless no-one is looking' or, indeed, 'unless the first one was nougat'. Soto had for centuries embraced a belief in the sanctity of all life and the ultimate uselessness of violence, but his personal conditional clause was 'but not the hair. No-one touches the hair, ok?''

biggrin

A time off period every now and then is necessary I think, I do it for various reasons too. Just go with what feels best I suppose. Good luck with Edinburgh.

I am feeling really weird, fucked up and having a sort of deep inner anxiety attack.

Funny how it's Friday the 13th.

A lot of hang-ups I've had buried for a while have all come bubbling to the surface like a bloated, headless, decomposed body breaking away from it's concrete shoes.

I'm....

I...

gonna hang out with my friend Jacob. just do something tonight...away from...

hee hee, thanks man...wasn't too worried, once i figured out what it was, i closed it pretty quick so i doubt i'll remember it at all after one good night of drinking wink

you're going away??? NO, NO...

i know, it's only for a week but...i'll miss you.

yes it WAS fun chatting on yahoo. cool to hear your voice as well. we must do it again soon. on your hiatus from SG are you still gonna be online?? i hope so.

you know, i once had a good friend tell me much the same thing as your friend told you. he told me he loved me but that i was too negative to be around...changed my life forever. it takes courage for friends to do that. that is indeed a TRUE friend.

if you go for a week i hope you enjoy your time. it won't be the same around here but i definitely understand..

it's now 12 pm ish there, i wonder what you're up to....

have a good day sweetswink

Linda's healthy and fine. Though she's been having weird dreams too.

I feel a little silly, but most of all I feel relieved. Especially when I heard her voice.

A combination of battery power and money running out on her refill card kept us out of touch.

All is well, and I'll be seeing her later today.

I'm not the least shamed to admit...

About a half hour after I said goodbye to Linda after we watched Secretary, completely out of the blue, I had this incredibly vivid, realistic vision of Linda being in a hit and run, her body flung up in the air.

It was so strong it replaced my normal vision and superimposed itself. I have never had it so strong before in memory.

I am...

I saw 'Secretary' with Linda. Interesting film. It was good but not THAT good. Cheesy ending. Very unfortunate lack in the screenplay on the relationship between the main character and her father. There's a lot inferred but it's never elaborated, and makes certain scenes seem to exist in a vacuum. What I did like was that until the very end, I could not predict what...

at the rate i'm going, i think i owe myself to my work for about 5 years more, since i ask for so much time off.

your letter is coming. slowly but surely. brad and i have a lot to do with digitalis, but that's priority #2 and writing to you is priority #1. maybe i'll send it page by page, just to sort of make up for taking so damn long... wink

I just wanted to say that having an Aries Venus is no fun.

Feelings suck.

Having crushes you can't control suck.

Dreams, Wishes and Desires that will never come true suck.

"You're perfect...BUT" sucks

Feeling like a number in a long line of numbers suck.

I myself am not practicing wicca, but my girlfriend does, and has a wonderful community of friends that I also adore. They are nice enough to let me come to the parties and rituals, but I'm not allowed to do everything. I also have been learning about astrology to keep up, but I'm pretty much atheist, and they all seem to respect that. So I'm near the community, but not of them. The Solstice party should be nice. It's out in the forrest on Mt. Hood in Oregon and there is going to be a ritual at sundown. I'm really looking forward to it. (There will probably be much to discuss on Harry Potter!)

"An imposed revolution cannot succeed. It doesn't solve problems, it only invents them. Every imposed revolution looks for enemies and wants to keep them a constant threat which serves the new elite as an excuse for reactionary measures. An imposed revolution is a revolution from above. A fabricated struggle that arises from manipulated ideals."

I loved Memento. It was really fascinating, I had to watch it twice.
Secretary is so good. You'll have a crush on Maggie Gyllenhall by the end.
I imagine it does feel like everyone has ducked away....I've just come out of my own little sick snail shell.
Be well.....

elderscrolls you ask.... Indeed. I highly reccomend it.
Get morrowind if you get any of them, It comes with a construction set, so you can make your own mods for it. I have made a few. Its hard to learn, but once you do, you will not leave your computer. Especially if you have a knack for being creative with architecture.
It has two other official mods that kick absolute ass. One of them is called Tribunal, the other is called Bloodmoon. Each of which take up about a gig of space on the HD.
Morrowind is one of those games you sit down to play for what seems like an hour or two... Then you look out the window and you see the damn sun. This game eats time at light speed, so be carefull. hahah.

Well my cousin's little graduation thing went well. I have no idea how the restaurant fared without me. They've given me responsibility for far too many things. It was probably chaos. Serves 'em right.

Anyway, I got to see a lot of the family on my dad's side their. Saw the older sister of my cousin, Marie-Louise and her boyfriend of 5 years (and 6...

I love Adam Freeland. We actaully brought him here once to come play in SF. Well not really brought him here, he was touring the states and we booked him to play. He's such a wonderful person, extremly sweet, and totally a cutie. I told him I'm going to hunt him down at Burning Man this year.
It's hard to just pick 3 huh? I tried to start puting in my journal who my 3 fav members are. i couldn't do it. There's just to many. I know a lot of members change their favorites very frequently so maybe you can do that. I'm hoping Stormy's set goes up this week, hopefully today. That girl's rad and believe it or not I'm shorter then she is. only by an inch though. I definitely have her beat in the pounds department though...I mean that girl is tiny- I love it. Thanks for you comments.

Good News. I received my acknowledgement card from UCAS yesterday. Which means my applications to the 6 British universities have gotten where they were supposed to go. Another week or so and I get my applicant number which I'll need for when I send additional information on myself to the 6 universities.

Tomorrow, I'm getting up extra early to make rice rolls for my restaurant,...

i have many reasons for leaving sg that i would have to detail in an email or wait until later cuz they would undoubtedly get me kicked off. in fact, i'll probably tell you in the letter, which, btw, is getting longer and longer by the day.

you absolutely must join brad's site. he wants to make you one of his henchmen. smile

I'm getting all this weird spiritual stuff going on around me.

Yesterday Linda and Me did a spell to help her ex's cat find her way home after running away and getting lost. I followed her lead and did what came natural like I'd always done it before. We faced the four compass directions and invoked a circle of protection. Then, facing each other she...

Good news about the cat then, whether it was the ritual or not. But as you said, can't be proved that it wasn't.

Sounds like you'll be doing a few more in the near future then?

I treat Discworld 2 as a guide tour of the Disc as well. To see and hear Foul Ol Ron was a giggle, not to mention all the rest of the cast. Ankh-Morpork looked suitably grotty at least.

I still have yet to play Dune:Emperor. Been meaning to get it for a while now. I have fond memories of Dune II on the Amiga, ah the game that spawned Command and Conquer.
