I just got home from watching Spider-Man 2. I've been fiending for it for months but things kept screwing up my plans to see it every day since it came out until today (and it was a close call today). I loved it. I'm really glad I didn't let myself get tempted into reading any spoilers...overall, the movie rocked. It could be nit-picked, but only by the truly anal-retentive.

In other news, I've been very dualistic lately. Very happy about my life yet at the same time feeling bad about myself. My confidence is in a slump for some reason. It's annoying because mentally I know I'm better than I'm giving myself credit for on an emotional level.

I hope I find something fun to do tomorrow. I think deckwreck is having a party but I'm not real sure I'll be able to go due to the lack of a ride...and not being completely sure if I'm up to hoofing it there from the MARTA station...much less figuring out how I'm going to get back.

hey man, make no bones about it. we'll ride in style towards this "party" just like the last time if it suits you. you call me to see if i'm not trying to impress someone's ex girlfriend tomorrow evening. otherwise, the plan is on.

also, don't adhere to the cosmic slump that affects us all during this time of humid disaster. as a wetback, imagine my stress when walking to a bar, or even a record store.

spiderman two. well, i'd have to say "yes" to the movie. i couldn't help but sink into my seat under the heavy hand of Irony. but, good ol' sam managed to entertain me cinematically in ways i cannot yet understand. self-mockery in such a "summer-time film" leaves much MUCH respect. the man KNOWS what he is doing.
