I have been super busy..over worked and under payed. I have decided to close my house up and make it a duplex. I hope this is not a stupid move, but I dont need this big house anyway. I figured that way I can rent out half of it and it can pay my mortgage and when I move I can rent the other side...

It's better Hodgkins is one of the worste ways to go. The step mother of a friend of my brother died of it. I took classes from her husband. She just kind of got weaker and weaker. By the time she died she couldn't even talk. So non-hodgkins is way better. So at least there's that..

a beautiful weekend of doing absolutly nothing. I have not had one of those in a while. I watched three movies, played with son, read a book, ordered in, ate in bed, had lavish daydreams, had a lot of sex with myself, took a lot of bublbe bath, played with my dog, surfed the net....it was GRAND

No work, no stress....no mess....

I am cooking...

Congates on a wonderful week. I'm sure you'll find something/place to settle on by June. and remember it doesn't have to be forever the it can be the next step in a path. (Makes me worry less about the big decisions.

I graduated my first class of FAST graduates yesterday! I was so excited for them all. It was amazing for me to see how much progress these families had made in the past months. Family communication was stronger, abuse was down and self esteem was up. I couldnt believe that I even started to cry as I read affermations to each parent about how far...

I dug my kayak out at the first sign of nice weather. I know what you mean about the bike and blades. Hopefully that will come next! (It's a little too muddy here for them right now!)
So why OR?
Just curious...
I've always wanted to go to the west coast...especially Seattle.

I wish I knew more about ADHD. I know what the books tell me and I know what reports say...but I wish I knew how it actually felt to have it. My son is having some serious issues staying focused. He had an evaluation done last month to see if he might have ADHD or any other problems. His school psychologist gave him all sorts...

bettymaepage:
I was diagnosed with ADD when i was very young. I had to go to special classes the whole bit. I was frequently labelled a disruptive influence in school- and was put into detention almost every day.
I turned out pretty good though- I graduated academic high, and that was after skipping the majority of my classes. Having ADD doesn't have to be a disability- but people with it don't function like others. I don't think medication is a helpful, society just needs to change the way it thinks people with ADD need to function. ADD people just don't fit into the normal box that society creates.
Maybe if they had your son multitask more it could help. Thats what worked for me. if i had to concentrate on one thing, without music I couldn't concentrate at all.
Now people just know that I'm going to go off in tangents, and my mind will wander- or they'll have to remind me frequently of where i was going- but I've still managed to do Honours university courses, and hold down a senior level managment position.
I consider my ADD a beneficial thing, not a hindrance.
I hope some of this helps. If it didn't- try reading "Delivered from Distraction". Best book on the subject, hands down.
So to make a very long journal comment end- your son will be fine as soon as he realises what he needs to concentrate, and you should be commended for caring so much and being so patient with him.

Hello All! I think I am back and I have missed being on here so much. I hope to spend a lot more time on this site and I could use some friends. I have been a little out of control lately and I have been partying to much. It has finally caught up with me as all things do. I need to be kicked...

things I'm working on?

hmm, lots of them.

as for the counseling I mentioned, as part of my program, I get a volunteer client.

as for other things, check out the last few entries of my journal....especially March 20 for other things I'm working on!

and what are you working on? just curious, that's all!
graycen:
No need to beat yourself up. We all do crazy things. If I remember correctly from the last few journal entries, you were under a lot of stress ...I can see why you needed to let loose and blow off some steam!
Glad your back and OK.

It is Saturday and all is well and seems to be getting back to normal. My little guy had to go into the hospital and he is now out wanting to eat everything and be a little more active. I am glad that he is home b/c I hate it when he is sick. He cried and cried and was so scared to get his...

To shatter or be shattered?
Both can be equally painful. Shattering anything is never good. There are too many pieces to put back together. Usually things that are shattered stay shattered... there just isn't enough glue!

Hope your kiddo is on the road to recovery...
and take care of yourself too, Mom!

I hope your son is doing better, and things get better in Oswego as well.

cleaning? evil concept. I'm waiting for my gnomes or whatever those things are to move in and take care of it myself. plus I'm too damn busy to clean!

as for a heart being shattered or shattering, it sucks. in all honesty, the "L" word is one of the most dangerous things out there if you ask me. you let someone inside those walls you carefully built up your entire life to protect yourself. for some odd reason, perhaps a look or a word. you give them all this power. and you hope they don't turn around and crush everything you are and ever hope to be in an instant, because they are through your walls and barriers.

okay, so I've been burned one too many times, and have developed a most cynical outlook on life and relationships and everything. some people find happiness, peace, contentment, and what they always wanted in a relationship. I consider them lucky bastards. for the rest of us, I guess its one day at a time, one moment in life, to see what the next will bring.

as for your dreams and putting yourself out there, you never know until you try. and why would someone ever give up on their dreams, hopes, and aspirations? you ask me, that is when things stop for that person. when they stop dreaming. and hoping. and taking that chance, walking that line, stepping out into the unknown, and see what will happen next!

sorry if things seem discombobulated, I'm currently getting my butt kicked by a paper that shouldn't be this hard!
whatever

been reading about your friend on the Internet. I do hope he is found not guilty of any wrong doings.

interesting to me is that the three students were members of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. ZBT was a fraternity at my alum school, Alfred University. one of their pledges a few years back disappeared, until his body was found in a river that runs through the town. his body was bruised, evidentally, he told some "fraternity secrets" while drunk at a party, and some brothers beat him for that. however, the fraternity was not found at all responsible and no foul play was indicated in the student's death.

this did lead to an investigation of the Greek system at Alfred University, though, with the result being the dissolution of the Greek system and banning of all fraternities and sororities.

to top it all off, the brothers were sitting on their porch drinking beers when the body was found.

more reasons why I hate fraternities!

I do hope everything is working out for the right. and that you do find some time to relax!

I came back from my weekend away to find out that a friend and co worker had stabbed 3 people. I am in shock. I have heard from friends that it was in self defense....that they were frat boys trying to get into his house b/c they thought it was a rival frat house. I am so upset about this. My friend is a computer...

yea i know that kid comes in to the FG all the time. i sorta remember him from school. everyone at the fg is shocked. he doesnt seem like the kind of kid that would hurt a fly. i think the house he lives across the sreet from used to be where a bunch of frat guys live and the kids must have hit the wrong house. there has been a rival between these 2 frats for years. i heard that the president of the college is suspending all greek organizations because of this. last semester one of the sororities almost killed one of the girls they were rushing and now this frown
graycen:
I'm sorry to hear about your friend/co-worker. Hopefully truth will prevail and they will see that he was only trying to defend himself.

Congratulations on your "new job" *hehehe* I can see why your mom wouldn't be too happy, however by combining the 2...*ahem*..."professions" you save time and money! Great way to multi-task! *laughing*

Quit my job today! I could not take it any longer. My boss came in this afternoon and just started to yell and throw stuff around. I asked him a question about a client contact list and he just went off. He started to pick up papers on my desk and slam them around. He also said thing like "Questions...cant you read..DUH...DUH...do I need to...

Yup you did great. Theres always waiting tables if you want to deal with that shit. I put up with a lot of crap, and as long as you can pay me enough for the meds when I get a stomach condition or the therapy so I don't shoot you all. Then hey. If you can't do it, then it's not worth it. There's always another job, that's less of strain on my health, and yours.

I've got to say in the six months I worked in the food service industry I only ever hurt any one while working once.

You did good, things will get better and good for you on knowing what you do and do not want to live with.

Hey Unsub, I came across your journal from Gray's, but as far as the job situation goes, go with your gut. The money is not worth the lack of respect... You're doin' the right thing!!!
