That's not bad. You'll have to illustrate my comic idea.

I have to take the Justice League, they are the modern day Olympus, all gods among men (except maybe for Bats, but for a human he's pretty bad-ass). Although I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of super hero teams made up of solo heroes. In fact I'm not a big fan of superhero teams at all. The X-men (and Generation X) are my only exceptions.
akirali:
oH well in that case there's no question, The X-men. They are a disfunctional family (which is always fun to watch) but deep down they love each other. Also there are far more shades of grey (as opposed to Black vs White) in the X-men's world. Magneto is indead a terrorist, but also a teacher, mentor and a damn fine leader with a noble cause. Xavier is a pacifist and a facist. The sub-text of the X-men is fucking phenominal.

Payday! Oh yeah. I have some things I need to do today:

-Register for a Certified Internet Webmaster course.

-Buy this issue of Wizard so I can figure out what comic books to get tommorow. I'm thinking about New West, I really like the art style on that book. It's kinda cartoonish, but not in a Disney way. I don't know how to describe it....

Random things I was just thinking about:

-Cooking, like sex, is definitely something that you can only get better at with practice.

-My car handles better after I wash it. That makes me think that there had to have been like 500lbs of dirt on it prior to it being washed. That's probably not far from the truth, if you've seen my car when it...

I agree with the cooking/sex thing. And people need to do both more.

Who you tryin to get crazy with ese? Don't you know I'm loco?

So I remembered that joke I told you guys I forgot in my last journal. It's not so much a joke as it is a silly name, but I'll let you hear it anyways. Its delivery should go something like this:

Joke Teller: Hey, Joke Hearer, have you talked to Haywood lately?...

Somebody give me an idea of what to wear to prom. I've been toying around with the idea of dressing as a comic book character. Not like Captain America or anything, but a more normalish type of character like Spider Jerusalem or even something like the Joker or Two-Face without silly makeup. Any suggestions?

Another thing is, anybody ever had like half the punchline to...

hmm. tough one. I don't know comic book characters, so I can't weigh in.

Yeah, I should update or something.

Saw Sin City last night, I absolutely loved it. It's hands-down the best comic movie ever made. My life is starting to revolve more and more around comic books as it progresses lately. I just bought a load of books, and I think I'm going to start bagging and preserving them. These things are worth some serious money down the line. I also think I'm...

I'll venture back to Florida long enough to get a car and fill it with all of my possessions (which will all fit in the trunk and backseat of a medium sized sedan, incidentally) then moving back to Illinois - the land of my people.

a day of nerding it up is essential to life for the actively nerd male. it's like a pampering foot soak for a metrosexual. or something.

anyways, I remember having this one Superman comic, I think it might have been either the one where he died or the one where he came back to life as the 4 different super people/things... anyways, it was sealed in white plastic with the Superman logo on it. I don't know how much that would be worth, I was planning on saving it to sell but my life took a turn for the worse and now it's gone.

oh well, I still have a copy of Sept. 12, 2001 New York Times. That little piece of National tragedy should be worth something at some point, sadly.

not having money sucks.

So apparently when you write about pancakes for three days in a row people get tired of it and they don't say anything, which is totally understandable. Mitch Hedberg died today. Normally I don't give a raggedy rat's ass about celebrities, but this was a funny motherfucker and I was looking forward to his future work. It makes me sad that this happened. Especially because...

Yeah and then the guy from the local comic store lent me the first 2 collections. I liked the first one better, but they were both pretty good.

I was waiting for that.
