This is where I give my opinion on stuff with the intention of not seriously sharing it with anyone else. Probably means I'm writing it down just to organise the jumble in my head. Or maybe I just never visit the forums. Anyway...
I think I've gotten sick of it.
SG started small, as most things do. I can't recall when this was, and I'm not sure how much time passed before I signed up. I liked it. Lots of style and gorgeousness and bare flesh and curves. It felt unique. The girls involved were unique.
Not any more.
When they started doing two sets a day, I was dubious, but I could understand why. The site had become popular, and the backlog was starting to build. I could live with it.
Then I noticed how the quality had dropped; I don't know if I can be more specific than that.
Somewhere along the way, I found myself thinking "I wouldn't have approved that one." As time went on, I found myself thinking this more often. More and more of the girls started to bleed together.
Girls that had been here since before I'd arrived dropped into archiveness; Faith was the first of my favourites to depart.
Now this four-a-day thing for the rest of the month happens, the homepage is so busy and confusing, and two of my favourites seem to have quit. Both Claudia and Katie were among what I consider to be originals. Now they're gone, and the lack of journalness leaves no goodbyes.
As a photographer and writer I know how much editing sucks. Maybe the Powers That Be were finding it more and more difficult to say no when more and more girls were asking. Maybe their eyes did that loonytoons thing where they turn into dollar signs. I don't know.
All I know is that, among the unique girls that SG started out with, there are now too many that seem plain by comparison. Most likely unfair to these girls, but probably unfair to all of them. Once, I cared even about the ones that weren't in my favourites (Apnea and Voltaire were on each end of the list that fit into this category... damn, both gone).
Now there are just too many, and my favourites are falling away...
Too many, too much, and now too often. My membership is in jeapordy. I don't like it... but hell, I don't like it.
If what the girls do here is supposed to be such a good thing, then why do they leave when they get older?
