Acacia Update:[\b] Thursday night she died but she was revived. Things looked very bleak. There was talk of opening her chest and doing some exploration as the doctors could not figure out why the lungs continue to not function even though there are no signs of rejection. On Friday, she rebounded once more. There is no rejection and there is no sign of any kind of infection. She started to breathe on her own once more. Everyone is puzzled. No one can understand how she goes from near death to improvement so quickly. So things are looking up once more. As always, thank you for your wishes and prayers.
Novel Writing Update:[\b] I am so very pleased that a few more of my friends here are trying their hand at this contest. janegeraldine is going like gangbusters. She might finish 50,000 words by November 10th. I even saw that HeMightBeGiant signed up. Tinyhobo and I keep in touch to encourage each other. What I have seen from her story is just incredible. She is more talented than I could ever be. I am not jealous. I am just in awe. As of last night, I had broken the 7,000 word mark. I have not written much today, yet. I will start soon. I am afraid that my outline is a little too skimpy. I am already through a third of it and not through a third of the words. This is the first time I have tried to write with an outline, so I am not really sure how it is going to work out.
I have had the great company of kekelynn as I write. I write while she games, then we chat for a bit and see how we are doing. It has kept me focused, believe it or not. I did so well last night that I even stopped the silliboard for a bit. It was good to be there even if it was just for a little bit. If you are curious to see some of the novel, I have posted two excerpts on my friend's thread titled Drama.
Have a great weekend. Time to get back to the writing...
EDIT: The girl and I are heading to New Hampshire for a couple of days. I will be back Tuesday so if you don't hear from me, don't think that I have been sucked in by the novel entirely.

I wish I could say I did something as ubiquitous as driving. And yet I've never had a license.
