First Thursday wasn't all that.
It was fun nonetheless.
The only gallery worth viewing was Blue Sky.
There were incredible photographs of soldiers from Iraq.
Eveyone one of them had an injury that completely changed their lives.
Along with the photographs came stories of what happened,
With little captions of how they viewed it.

Those photographs were amazing and frightening.

My cousin is in the...

Well, that's more votes in favor then. Anyway, I never hold shyness against someone. There is a difference if you look hard enough.

Something I can't stand is fake people
You know the type.
Someone says hello to you and acts like they like you.
Then they don't say two words after that.
What the fuck?

I'm sleepy, but I need to get ready for this evening.
Down to Portland for First Thursday.
I'm soo excited.

Funness

I didn't feel like walking around last night, so we just went to REI instead. I didn't get your msg until I had gotten home frown.

Looks like, but I'm not completely sure yet, that camping will be from August 11-14. I'll have a final answer for you by monday or tuesday biggrin
sadfaceclown:
Damn it. I know I'm being a total dork! I probably shouldn't have said anything but I couldn't help it. I know i wussed out with the vague journal entry but I thought it would be okay just this once.

Today I got payed time and a half to sit around and do nothing most of my shift.
That is awesome.
I worked 6 hours and I'd say 4 of it was just sitting around talking.

Last night was fucking awesome.
I wish I would have stopped thinking about time I had to get up and actually partied.
That would have been ideal, but what...

Sunday is getting closer.
I need to get my cough down for Safeway.
It's gonna be a great night.

Here's a quote RandyPants informed me of.

I reckon being ill as one of the great pleasures of life, provided one is not too ill and is not obliged to work till one is better. ~Samuel Butler

Last night was loads of fun!

At the party everyone except my boyfriend got really drunk.
At least I think they all did.
The girls played spin the bottle.
I kept getting excluded on the bottle,
therefore random people just started kissing me.
That was a happy moment.

All fun is had when you're drunk.
I don't really remember anything else that was a mentionable...

Going to a party tonight.
Hopefully there will be good booze there.
I want to get fucked up.
It's a friends birthday.
All she wants is booze.
I'm too broke to buy any.

This afternoon I took another nap.
Tomorrow I don't have to work early in the AM.
Thank God for that!
I think I should just call in sick tomorrow.
The other job...

I'm in a pretty damn good mood. Just went out with my mom and had dinner. While we were waiting for our table we went and sat at the bar. It's so great being of age and getting to have a drink with mom. Granted she didn't have one because she was driving.

Had good conversation with her. Got caught up, haven't seen her in...

Sounds like the vacation didn't really end wink
solomantra:
Yeah, you should really try to apply to one of the fancy-pants grocery stores. If you already have decent grocery experience it'll certainly give you an in. And, just so you know, if you apply at Wild Oats you get to draw your favorite animal as part of the application biggrin

Tonight is my last night of vacation time at Safeway.
It's been nice not worrying about juggling two jobs.
Now back to the grind.
I think I'm gonna shoot myself.

Currently neither job is making me happy.
Now Bridgewood, the caregiving job, is having me do house keeping most of next month.
That really pisses me off.
Of course they did give me a choice....

solomantra:

You know, if you can get 'em, jobs at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods or New Seasons are really superior to any other grocery job in the Portland area.

That is, *if* you can get 'em! It's like cutthroat competition to get hired at those places, believe me, I've tried! whatever

Not a bad thing at all. I bet you're making more money than I am. The life of a secretary is not filled with riches and bling. confused

Apparantely you're an ass hat.
Good luck with that one.

Tomorrow is my last fucking day of vacation at Safeway.
God damnit I haven't done shit with myself this week.
I've been a lazy fuck the whole time.
If only I still had tomorrow off.
Then I'd be partying tonight.
Oh well, whatever.
Anyone want to hang out?

hotpockets:
Yeah, indeed. It's hard working two jobs--it's a lot of time-juggling. Hanging out with the boy isn't necessarily a bad thing.
hypnogogic:
Asshat?

No, im a cum dumpster....

Last night I went out to two different dinners.
One with 3/4 of people I don't know.
The other with the boy and friend.
It was nice meeting those that I did meet.
Hope to see all of you again.
Apparently I should really be going to hypnogogic's little party.
I'll probably have to work all damn day.
First Bridgewood and then Safeway.
Luckily...
