Well, the relationship between me and the ex had a total meltdown...again. The same old points appeared. The same old responses took hold and the all familiar sense of "what the fuck do I say to that" came up like last nights dinner. I gave up. We are on "only speak when required." status. Naturally this is as a result of me trying to define...

my cousin right now is going through a divorce....the starting step for him taking action was getting a seperate bank account after she drained his account of about $1000 "for Halloween costumes".

then she called Child Protective Services on him twice...his final breaking point was when she filed harrassment charges against him for calling her cell phone (she made him over 1/2 hour late to his job).

in her charges, stated that he was "suicidal"...the charges came around the same time of the anniversary of his father committing suicide (in 2004).

sometimes, its a matter of saying "enough". you're in a tough situation....could be a point where you say "we're civil for our child's sake" and that's it. she really complains or anything, get legal counsel and protect yourself. a lawyer does NOT mean divorce. but it does mean protection!

just my thoughts at least.

and yeah, no one to vent to really does suck sometimes!

Wierd thought. So im sitting here, clearly surfing SG, while lord know what is exploding outside. Its a piercing pop followed by a boom that shakes the ground and the building. This has happened about 7 times at this point. No one has figured out whether its out-going or in-comming, so people are running around trying to figure that out....i guess. No one has said...

Nah don't apologise for the rant, I've always found it very therapeutic and personally confrontational (in a good way) to pen/type things down so they become something tangible, than just liquid thoughts in my head.

But yeah I'm gonna have to say I'm a little more afraid of a mortar shell than a woman in my life at the moment, so I haven't got too much wisdom to impart I'm afraid haha tongue best of luck man, you're back soon I suppose?
paddywhack:
i remember that thought that you could die at anytime and being numb to the idea. but mine was not going to be the painless one you wouldn't know about, but we were still indifferent to the idea.
i hear you on the bad relationships thing. have fun on leave. if you make it up phx way let us know.

Well enough of the dramatic pouting.

So, I am getting my hands on a quality camera when I go home on leave. Granted, I will be just borrowing it, but it will give the experience I need while i save for a real one. Im pretty into it. The fire photos really nailed it for me. The down side is there really isnt that much...

I thought a military base would have had loads of interesting things to take pictures of (apart from all the off-limits stuff of course).

What camera are you saving up for?
freudianslip:
Where will you be going on leave?

Not many photojournalistic opportunities where you are?

August of 2007 I made something of a prediction. Collectively looking at the past and the present at that time I knew that life as I knew it could not and would not continue. At first i thought I might be fating myself, but the physics of my existance could not be denied. Seven years earlier an astonishing heavenly body had become caught in my...

it's nice but it's weird. I've struggled with deleting names and addresses from the email, and this morning really took me by surprise. I don't know what I thought, other than THIS IS WRONG!!!!

Cheers.

"My wife and I were watching "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" while we
were in bed.
I turned to her and said, "Do you want to have sex?" "No," she
answered.
I then said, "Is that your final answer?" She didn't even look at me
this time, simply saying "Yes."
So I said, "Then I'd like to phone a friend."
And that's when the...

that is pretty funny.

well Im glad nothing big happened while on the mission.

As long as you are happy with your old self then finding your old self is a good way to be.

Well if you dropped me a line I have missed it.

nanowire:
Thanks for the advice.
The millionaire joke is pretty damn funny.

Well Project Random Friend Invite has been a smashing success. I have been doing my best to drop everyone a line and see what your all about. You guys are some pretting amazing people and I look forward to chatting with all of you.

A few have asked about me being deployed so I figured I would provide the low down. I am in Iraq...

Project Random Friend Request.

So I threatened to do this in a post no to long ago and now I am going to follow through for a few reasons. The primary reason is I fucking need more friends. Being deployed I am short on people I can chat with simply because....well, these guys are a bit slow. Oh, and dont mind those smoldering ruins in...

Ok this work is raw and unedited...so go easy on me. Yet, I wanted to get something out for people so I could get some feedback. Thought SG might be a good place to start. Hope you enjoy.

I had something snap in my mind not too long ago. Anyone who has read my blogs might have caught on to the fact that I have an odd, nearly militant view of honesty. Well, that was until a few days ago when I was talking to my Ex. I finally realized that, for all the effort i have made in changing my communication style,...

Yea i know that shit can really get aggrivating, and alot of women do it just to push your buttons cuz they know it does. Who knows why, they just do. But once you figure out how to overcome the way it makes you feel, well then the ball is in your court. Kudos to you sir, may it work in your favor...... biggrin

so SG is banned in my regular computer tent. I guess the crack down has begun. Here in the main compter tent I can still get on. So if I disappear you know why.
feartheclown699:
well that sux, don't they realize that you guys need to enjoy more than the fucking desert and a bunch of other guys. So i heard they are gonna pull everyone out of iraq. Is that gonna include you, ,and if so how long til you get to get home and see your family?........
thyestean23:
Its true, the are pulling 'us' out, but its hard to tell exactly what brigades thats going to apply too. Since I dont live with my family I have seen my boys for a total of 28days in the last 2 years. Anyway, rumors fly alot in the military. We are suppose to be here until sept 09' but some are saying we could leave as early as jul 09' which is when the province we work in is supposed to be "handed over". Whatever the hell that means. Regardless, im not holding my breathe, but the funny thing is my leave is schduled in may....if things change then my leave will change too....so I dont know. whatever
