I had an interesting week...
Tuesday, Baboo surprised me. He got me thinking that we were gonna go to the LA County Fair. I couldn't sleep the night before so I fell asleep during the car ride. When I finally woke up I said to my husband, "are we lost, we're way passed LA!" I woke up in Death Valley!!! Then, Baboo asked me look at the GPS and follow the route. As I followed it, I realized where we were headed...LAS VEGAS!!!
But, that wasn't the end of the surprise. When we got to the hotel and while waiting in the lobby my best friend Jason appears out of no where! I ran to him and gave him a giant hug. It turns out that my husband and Jason have been planning this for weeks! So, yea, we were in Vegas Tuesday!
Wednesday, I took my friend out to celebrate her thesis submission. We went to the Getaway, a college hangout near UCR. We drank, played pool, smoked, fun times. This was the first time my friend got drunk, and she got sloppy drunk. But that was her goal. She was so stressed out from all her work that she just wanted to let loose. That was the most relaxed I have ever seen her, and the happiest.
Thursday, was the gig at my husband's and his dad's business opening of Redlands Clear Auto Bra. It was a fun gig. A lot of foot traffic again but there were tables set up so that people can sit and watch us. I got the kids to dance too! It was a lot of fun. I was afraid that Baboo's dad would think that our music wouldn't be appropriate but it turns out that they all loved us! I gave out some business cards so I hope I get more gigs in the future.
Friday, got sick.
Today, still sick.
But I'm happy.
