Not much to tell since the last blog I'm afraid.
Pain levels were ridiculously high since last weekend, so much so that I didn't make it to work... Read More
I hope you're feeling better this week. No one should be in so much consistent pain. Thank you for the good luck wishes! I'll find out early next week if I need to go in for a second interview.

So, what's new?
I finally got my assessment finished and sent off yesterday. Well, I say finished...
I'd left the programming question until last because I've always struggled with the programming question on the other assessments. I usually... Read More
I haven't gotten the photos back yet. I'm not sure how long it will take. I'm hoping not too long. I'll have plenty of pictures to post when I get them, though.
As always, thanks to those of you kind souls for leaving supportive comments on the last blog, you're all awesome!
So what's been happening since the last blog? Not a lot...
Pain levels have been up and down, more bad than good though and still no word from the pain clinic. That's been six weeks straight with virtually no pain relief... Read More

Not much new since the last blog.
Pain situation is still the same, though it's actually been worse lately and the past 2 days have been agony, I've barely been able to walk.
I really hope I hear from the... Read More
You joined the site after all the crazy stuff happened, and i have changed my since then. Honestly, you don't really want to know.. it was just a full year of insanity. The odds of me becoming an SG are slim enough for me; becoming a Hopeful on this account will decrease the odds even more. But I am sure everything will work out alright, not to worry.
What's been happening since the last blog? Not a lot...
The tramadol's not working as well as it did when I took the first dose, so I've been alternating my painkillers in an attempt to avoid taking one kind for a long period of time and becoming immune to it.
I'm getting fed up blogging about the pain, but sadly I don't... Read More
Wonderwall has special meaning for me. It's the song that my best friend and I used to sing when we did karaoke. He passed away after being in a car accident in 2007. So, over played or not, it's my favorite.
I saw the doctor again today and she prescribed tramadol, as cocodamol's not giving much in the way of pain relief.
She also told me that our health... Read More
Seriously? No Who's That Girl, for you? Man... that movie convinced me of two things as a young lad... A: Cartier is the shit and B through Z: Owning huge cats as house pets is the GREATEST idea... EVER. There's no possible way that could ever go awry. None whatsoever...
Yea... it was a rather arduous journey to learn English, but hey, I made it. My point is, that if I can do it, then there should be no excuse for someone that's been here for years. I have the attention span of a goldfish. Case in point, since I've been typing this, I've checked three times to see if the latest episode of Orphan Black has loaded up yet. No... it hasn't.
Yes, I'd love to run into some Colombiana-SG-ness while I'm down there. We shall see... we shall see. Geographically, Colombia is the hair tie that connects the ponytail of Panama and Central America to the head of South America. Yes, a wayward metaphor, I'll give you that... but when your looking on a map, your thought will be "I'll be damned, Bakuto was right... and now I know!" Then point two thumbs up and a cheesy smile... while facing the wall as though there were a camera there.
I agree with that wholeheartedly. Here in the US, you either have to be born here, which citizenship is instant, get married here to a US national, which is pretty much instant or do the whole green card thing which takes seven years... AND you have to pass a citizenship test... that 86% (A very serious statistic) of Americans can't pass. I often come under scrutiny of my chums, as I proposed that if a foreign person were to serve in the military, I believe that at the end of their first four year enlistment, they should be granted citizenship. No test, no wait, nothing. It's theirs. For some reason, people try to tell me that this is a bad idea... but not as to why it is. Go figure.
Yea... watch Swept Away... I balled my eyes out. It was like watching the funeral pyre of Guy Ritchie's career. While bagpipes wailed a sad tune in the distance.
Whoop, just checked again.
I feel you on the "Just give up the ghost" perspective of certain artists... although, sometimes it's a good thing. The aforementioned Bruce Springsteen example... man, I'd LOVE to see him live. Tramps like us, Bruce, tramps like us! However, turn into the 90s, when grunge took over and things started hardening up, bands like INXS and Duran Duran were probably hearing the same shit. "Give it up man, you guys are 80s bullshit!!!" But honestly, had they gave it up, there'd be no albums like Welcome To Wherever You are, or Elegantly Wasted... The Wedding Album, or Red Carpet Massacre. And THAT'S a world that I DON'T want to live in. Seriously... although not as commercially successful as their earlier albums, after their "prime" is when these artists began to thrive artistically. So maybe, just maybe, Paul McCartney has one more phenomenal album left in him... or perhaps he shits out the best of it's creativity, every morning, I don't know... we'll have to wait and see. Shit man, case in point, have you listened to David Bowie's new one... fucking magic.
The show is actually The Americans. With Keri Russell. It's so hard having watched Felicity and The Curve with her as a college student not but a little over ten years or so ago, now she's playing a woman pushing 40... Hollywood! -jazz hands- It's actually pretty cool because the guy that plays her husband, Matthew Rhys, plays his part to such effectiveness... like in that he gets ruthless as hell sometimes, so it may seem as though he enjoys doing it, but he doesn't... he actually hates it. Though you wouldn't know when he's "in the moment."
EMF??? Damn it, I actually had a quote about them that I tried to get in my minibar a few days ago, but it wouldn't fit. I'm shocked you didn't have Firestarter on here with all those Prodigy songs. Haha, that's one that makes the hair go everywhere. It's funny, that here almost 18 years later, people have been going at Breathe, but never knew that it's "Psychosomatic addict insane" I used to say it all the time back then and everyone thought I was talking in tongues or something. Haha, now that you're in the 90s, I'm wondering how long before you get some Mazzy Star on there... or Angry Johnny by Poe...
Haha, thank goodness you can edit these, totally forgot to "spoiler" it...
It shouldn't be an issue, I know I won the war as it were, all our mutual friends are my friends are my friends still and not hers, it's just it's a small world, you never know what someone you meet in the future may have been told and what they know.
