So I was working with a fugitive.

KCB, aka Derek K. Rose, was arrested on 12/30/2003 for solicitation of a minor (what he thought was a 12 year old girl). Turns out he was wanted in Ohio for jumping bail, credit card fraud, and identity theft. eeek Over 20 counts of the latter two charges as well. eeek eeek

We had Bounty Hunters at the dealership and everything....

Happy Happy Happy Happy 2004 Everyone!

I had a wonderful New Year's Eve.
The Karma Police Department is on my side. I'll talk about that more later though.

I have a wonderful, sweet, caring man who loves me. My family kicks ass. And I've got the cutest puppy ever. biggrin Work isn't bad either and I'm due to graduate in only 12 months! YAY!

*sigh* Happy...

So if it's not one thing it's another.
I'm stuck at work after a much-needed day off yesterday. I was sick though...and by the time I felt better it was 8:00 pm...not much else to do at that hour but go food shopping! So I did. I was very disappointed to find out that my grocery store does not carry Lindt chocolate. *pout*

I have...

Happy after-holiday sales! smile

I hope everyone's holiday was as enjoyable as mine. It was not nearly as dysfunctional as I had originally anticipated, but I think people were on their best behavior. *sighs* The food was wonderful, the company was even better (nothin' like family, eh?) and the gift-giving was off the freaking hook. So yeah. It was a great couple of days.

The parents...

So the pix from SGNY's party last night look kick ass! I'm so sorry I missed it.

Anyway, I taught myself how to crochet and knit over the past couple of days. I'm still learning but it's fun. I think I'll make Michael a scarf or something when I get the hang of things. That's what my best friend did once she took up kitting-...

Bleah.
The dizzies came back, too. NOT FUN!

But I sold two cars this week so I am happy. w00t. smile
I'll be venturing home and making some chickie soup although I'm not all that hungry. Soup will be followed by passing out on my comfy bed, hopefully not being commandeered by the dog at the time. *sighs* I'm so...

I'm sick too. I just feel like shit in all aspects of life right now, and I can't really explain it. Just a funk perhaps. Montana is okay too. Back in the day, Christmas to me was sunny and filled with blue skys and eighty degree weather. Now, I wouldn't trade the snow for anything!
beledi:
congrats on the two cars...it kicks ass when we chicks know stuff about cars. wink

hope you feel better soon sweetie.

NO MORE PENCILS NO MORE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY! I don't have to see that god awful architectural abortion of a college campus until January 20th. I kicked butt on both exams, but I know I did better in my composition class than I did on Police Org- but open book/open note finals are the shiznit.
This feeling of being finished would be so much better if...

as an occasional sufferer of those things you wished on the KCB, i hope whatever he's done is bad enough to deserve it blackeyed

when you say B-dorfers are pretty...do you mean looks or sounds? there's a showroom on the east side in the low 30s. you should go try one. it's really really fucking amazing. the prices are in the 6 digits, though. not including cents.

i have a 1977 kawai upright, bought new when i was 6. i love it, but it's starting to be time to get a grownup piano. maybe. i just don't know if i could give this one up, and it seems ridiculous to have 2 pianos in a 1 bedroom apt....

It's snowing. AGAIN.

Yeah, that snow didn't last long.

Glad you liked my subway piece. I'm putting up a new one tonight, I think. And yes, you're totally right, I left out so many things... maybe I'll do a subway revisited essay at some point in the future. The finer points of urban travel: how to avoid stepping in erstwhile bodily fluids that adorn subway cars, which cars have the creepy automated voices, which lines have the most attractive women, the etiquette of sleeping on the subway... ah, fertile ground. MTA, you are my muse!
er:
thaaaaank you
for that link
i will definitely be filling out that form.

So we are finally out from under most of the snow. Thank goodness. I thought I had lost my all-precious Thunderbird in a snowdrift, but, alas, it was still in the driveway. biggrin

Finals week starts next Monday. FREAKING YIKES! I hate exams. I'll fare well because I've been busting my butt all semester. I've already registered for next semester so I can't fuck up now!...

I like your laundry instructions. Very helpful. I neglected to mention in my last bit about laundry the usefulness of the microwave in the absence of a dryer. I actually learned that one in France as well.

And yes, I'll be at the holiday party, provided I can learn to successfully navigate the M line (see my current journal entry for more on that.)
