So, when two people are forced to do something they absolutely hate doing, it'll put a strain on a relationship. All is well, but I think LittleFierceOne hates moving as much as I do. It makes it frustrating trying to work together. But we managed to get all my heavy furniture out of my apartment and into an overpriced storage unit. The two of us managed to move an old Lowry electric organ that weighs more than both of us put together. That thing is a beast.
But, we did it. We're sore, and we're tired, but we finished yesterday. Now I just have to go through the rest and decide what I'm packing up, and what goes to the dumpster. I hope to be done with that by early afternoon so I can enjoy what's left of the three day weekend that pretty much wasn't. I hate moving.
Wednesday's the last day of the month, though, and I only have that morning to finish up anything I don't finish today. I'm hoping that will consist of cleaning, only. *fingers crossed* If it's faster, all my stuff might just end up in the dumpster.
Oh, and to make a long entry longer, I find it highly disturbing that everyone seems to be "celebrating" Memorial Day. The words "celebrate" and "memorial" don't even go together. I understand it's warm and it's a day off, but today is meant for solemn remembrance of those who died defending our country. If you want to celebrate, do it on the Fourth of July, Armed Forces Day, or Veterans Day - the days we are meant to celebrate. I don't much care for our country at the moment, but I do have a deep respect for soldiers lost to war. Perhaps it's becase I grew up in Fayetteville, or because my father and stepmother were in the military, but I don't think most people have a true understanding of what today is for, and that's a sad thing. If you want to cook out and go on vacation, by all means, enjoy the weekend (today isn't the true Memorial Day, anyway - it's really the 30th), but don't do it in the name of Memorial Day. Please, have some respect.

One of these days we'll actually get to meet you!
