within me over that - I'm not crazy about them going through what I now consider clear indoctrination. I get my points in where I can, chiefly through trying to expose them to as much science as possible. Tomorrow we're going to the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. As a kid, this was my absolute favorite place. Hoping my kids love it. We're close enough to visit semi-often and I'd love to keep taking them, capture their minds with a hunger to know more about the cosmos around us. The more we desire to learn, the more we learn. The more we learn, the more we realize just how amazing this world is in and of itself, and we realize that gods and demons and spirits and magic and prayer and religion, etc, etc are all fictions. Little by little, I hope my kids learn these things.

Do you live in Huntsville? One of my best friends from high school lives there. He is also an atheist. We are few and far between here in the Bible Belt. But he indicated he had a good group of organized atheist friends. Maybe they have kids activities? Also...are you familiar with camp quest?

Unfortunately no, not in Huntsville, but relatively close here south of Nashville. There are actually a few atheist groups and gatherings in Nashville, it's nice having them in the vicinity. And I'm not familiar with camp quest - that something in Huntsville?
