I am wrecked, from 3 months to 3 days. I am heading to their home state to prepare for the funeral.

So after my semester finals my family informed me that my great uncle is fighting stage 4 lung cancer. I can't make it home till august, and it hurts quite a bit.

I have already lost My father and sisters within the past 9 years along with two very dear friends.

So fleeting moments have come and gone. The relaxation of break time felt so good, and has no resolved into the hardest, most arduous part of my year. More workshops have just been added, my summer internship was rescinded (Co. played with too much of their funds...not a big deal, I would rather take a vacation for part of the summer), and now 2 conferences....

Wicked week, away from home. Can't believe I am working during break, I am attending a workshop for applied math, and it has all of my free time. But, on the lighter side I get access time to the cluster at the university here (240 cpus, drool). Hmmm what games could I make run across that many cores.

Definitely puts a smile on my face.....

So I am compelled to bear my fangs at a piece of wood. What better way to relax that grab a blade and carve some wood (giggity).

I have to say after a small hiatus from cerveza I was pretty pleased to get a hold of some Slow Tap Guiness.
