Another year gone. It wasn't the greatest year I have had but it wasn't the worst either.
The thing that sticks out the most this year is losing my best friend of 14 years. He didn't die. I guess he just thinks he's too good to talk to me. I helped him move out of a bad situation when he really needed the help. I'm always there to help a friend in need..that could be my problem. May 18th was the last time I heard from him. I invited him to a cook out which he didn't come to. What bugs me the most is I didn't do anything to him. I don't know how you can cut ties with someone just like that. I haven't seen him anywhere yet. I kinda hope it stays that way.
I heard from a friend Sam who I hadn't heard from in a while. Some of it was her boyfriends fault more of it was my jealous ex. She called me one day which was a surprise to me I was happy to hear from her, but something in her voice wasn't right. She told me what happened a few nights before. She had attempted suicide. My heart sank to my stomach. You have one of the sweetest people you have ever met who always had a smile on her face and she tells you she tried to kill herself. That doesn't sit right with me especially when she didn't call me to talk if she was feeling that way. Since then we have became better friends. She calls me whenever she needs to talk and that makes me feel like a better friend. We also see each other a lot more.
My friend Chris moved in with his girlfriend Ashley who lives two streets from me. Let's just say I can hear him start up his car. My sister dated his sister a few years back. That's when our friendship started. Once he moved to Fremont I started seeing a lot more of him. One day I was fishing with my cousin about 20 minutes from home and he called me and told me he needed help getting his Chevy Blazer out of the woods. He was stuck in the mud. So, I packed up and headed on my way. An excuse to finally offroad in my truck even though I just washed and waxed it a couple days before. It always nice to help a friend.I pulled him out of the puddle after we charged his battery for 30 minutes. The next day he asked my if I would be in his wedding. I've never been in a wedding so I said yes. Ashley has become one of my good friends as well. I guess you lose a friend and then you gain one.
My buddy Ryan has become more of a brother than a friend. Someone who likes Pro Wrestling and Mexican food as much as me. We nerd out about wrestling while eating Gordo's. I even made up custom shirts that say I'm a Gordo's Guy. You can say we became their super fans.
I met and hung out with Matt Tybor from The Bunny The Bear. Probably the coolest thing that happened this year. Yes, I'm lame I know.
I had my ICD replaced on Halloween. I was worried but things worked out fine. I'm feeling better since the surgery. Also, you really find out who your true friends are when you're down on your luck.
I was single all year. Plenty of pretty girls just none of them interested in me. Needless to say I had a sexless 2013. Sex isn't everything to me but lets aim high for 2014. I don't just want cheap sex I want to love somebody. A relationship would be nice. I'd love to find me a nerdy redhead. I know that's asking for a lot. I just want to find someone who doesn't take life too serious and lives in the moment.
This went on longer than I was hoping.
