I really really want to go see Grindhouse... but can't remember the last time I actually went to the movies and didn't rent them.
You prob did not know I had a kilt. I pretty much only bust it out around St. Patrick's day. Although this year I did bring it on a couple of trips with me.

yes I know! I did just go over and have a few beers with the 18 year old neighbors and I am going to miss them, mostly because when I come home drunk it is nice to have people to chat with and drink beer with after hours! I will not miss the keggers though since I was always too shy to join.

Is there anything as enjoyable as reading page after page of sycophantic sentiments after the individual postings of various SGs? whatever I can't help but wonder what would happen if a SuicideGirl decided to champion the idea of phrenology.

"Oh, yeah, you make such a good point!"
"I wish that my head were shaped like yours."
"That's so true. I had never realised before your posting...

heehee you rule, 'cos I think the term "waxed vag" is hilarious and like, no one else even commented on that.

pretty much any adjective in front of "vag" is funny.

Great news--today I got my luggage YAY!!! I totally was freaked that I'd never see it again but all my stuff is back with me as it should be.

DFW sucks, and American Airlines sucks. I totally get people who carry on now. This experience has inspired me to not be a stupid overpacker anymore and to buy a carry on luggage and use that from now on. It's the only sensible and safe way to travel.

I certainly hope yr upcoming travels thru DFW are okay, I send you good flight vibes.

I think hell must be a stormy airport or the dmv or some such shit where you never get anywhere and all the people are assholes.

Nite nite

Tourists usually go home in the Summer.

Summertime is really quiet here. I love it!

May-November is off peak.

Oh please. Manko, Manko, Manko, Manko, Manko.

Just sayin

And I love the "pre" pre-fix. I like the George Carlin routine about it. What DOESN"T George Carlin have a routine about, btw?

I just ate 12 bagel bites.

just sayin.

My boyfriend complained that he didn't get any of the cupcakes either. I'll say to you what I said to him... "next time" tongue I'll admit they were quite lovely wink

Besides, you have a bowl of raspberries in your entry. Almost as good as raspberry buttercream frosting!

I do not hate perspectives I just hate the advise because people tell me things I have already done, like I haven't thought of it already and it is just annoying to have the same conversations over and over,

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I mean seriously I went to college & grad school mostly on a full ride from grants & scholarships and I am pretty sure if I can figure out how to do that I can exhaust every option for finding a job. And 80% of the people I graduated with also cannot find a job in our field so I know I am not alone and do not need advise everyday from people who want to help but do not realize what they are saying, not that you are doing that but I am just explaining: "look online" duh, "look at company's you would like to work for" duh, "send resumes to places that are not hiring but could put your resume on file" duh. "Look everyday so you do not miss an opportunity" yep, "Apply for jobs that you are even over qualified or under qualified for" been there, "have you ever thought about vineyards?" Different major, "I grew up in Washington, a lot of people there worked with trees, like forestry" different major, "Have you thought about starting a flower shop" I'm a scientist not a florist, different concentration, "Don't limit yourself to one area" yeah... need I go on? I have spent most of the last 2 years getting this advise and since I do not like it I usually do not post or speak about how I am frustrated or feeling about the job front, and mostly you just reminded me of that and I am preventing these conversations.

Last night I was told to create my own job. I really wonder how people think that really works because I have $1250 rent a month and cannot really afford to go around pretending to work or soliciting odd jobs, I need to pay my rent, bills and student loans. I could however at 30 move back in with my parents and then go off creating work for myself but till I am forced to do that I will work at my craptastic job to pay the bills till I find something better.

I just had someone come over and replace my showerhead. Last night I gave a boy my number, which I never do! I would say the weekend is pretty damn good! Yours? kiss

I think that those who made Zodiac would have been well-served to cut 20-30 minutes from the film. The makers of The Host should have shaved off 5-10 minutes. But Blacula and the original Planet of the Apes are just fine as they are. Admittedly, I wasn't sure about that jerk Dr. Zaius at first, but his anti-human perspective helped validate him by the end....

In the end, my friend Becky was able to get here for just under two full days. I love the chance to be a tour guide around the city and this was no exception. The only downside? The copious amount of food I've eaten over the last few days have given me the sensation of a Shatner-esque distended belly. Fortunately, though, eating the food was...
