Caught Mike Doughty at the Rivoli in Toronto last night. Sublime fun as always, although I have to say that I didn't like the Rivoli as a venue as much as Lee's, where I caught him last year.

The time for medium rock is now. Come to medium rock.

Dogslife and Ginny were nice enough to come out and roll with the girl and I, although the Dog put everybody in the bar to shame with his dance moves. I'm to understand that my trusted lieutenant dholokhov was in the joint as well, although we didn't manage to find him in the crowd.

Oryx was a no-show, despite personally assuring me that she'd be there, because I guess now that she's gone pink, she's too cool for school. *brushes away tear*

I'll probably post more impressions of the show and the groovy new record later, but the ex is coming over to watch Buffy tonight (it's a good thing we broke up on friendly terms, because our relationship terminated just prior to the DVD release of the final seasons of both Buffy and Angel and it just wouldn't be the same to find out how both series end without having somebody with whom you've MST3K-ed the entire show up to that point). Gotta tidy up enough space for sittin' on the couch and such.

I really have to stop living like an animal.
