I always remember this one night I couldn't sleep when I was living in manhattan. It was a Saturday night and I had decided to stay in, when 5am came around i decided maybe i would try going for a walk. I walked down the east river park and through the east village, on a sunday morning that early it was completely empty, even 23rd st was devoid of most traffic. It was serene and beautiful and the entire time I listened to Cosmo D on my ipod, who is a modern cellist with amazing talent.
It was just so beautiful and pleasant, as a person who almost constantly surrounds themselves with people it was one of the few times I've truly enjoyed being completely alone.
