Last night was the first part of the end of an era that may never be repeated in television history, Tonight the curtain comes down on part two.
Lost has said good-bye and exited stage right, 24 come out and take a bow.
Jack Shepard did what he was meant to do so he could let go. So must we all.
I'm hoping Jack Bauer just manages to have a good day.
They don't make television like this anymore. I don't think they try.
Gone but never forgotten. Did it change the world? No. Are we better as a nation, a culture, a world? I can't answer that definitively, but I suspect not.
