ehehehe...i'm glad you enjoyed the card. happy holidays my sweet starisea. kiss
purephase:
good holidays and all that, depending on whatever you believe in.

me, i'm off work. that's all i need to celebrate. wink

glad to hear you're over the flu. as for the moving advise, believe me, i have a lot of crap to go through and get rid of. i should be 50% less of my "net-worth" before i'm finished.

makes me feel good, so i guess i can't complain.

Ahhhhh . . .

blush Wonderful entry, my dear... It's always wonderful to hear your beautiful beamings because they are true to heart and that is obvious when read, then read again. PS- I just saw that you like Gamelan music. Prior to my going to Berklee, I had investigated locally attending Wesleyan for they have their own gamelan orchestra attached to their world famous ethnomusicology program. *sigh* Now I know better for next time.

Yeah, it definitely makes a lot of difference not having your body revolting against you, though it sounds like your spirit's maybe not being so cooperative. frown Bummer that we missed seeing you at the holiday party! Maybe a Pirate Thursday some time?

Mmmm, gummi colas are so good... they were the first non-bear gummi I ever tried.

Edumacation is overrated wink What would you ideally like to study, money and/or purpose for the eventual degree aside?

I haven't watched Jeeves & Wooster, I'll have to look into that!

kiss Please, take good care of yourself... hope you're having a good holiday!

the numb suffering provides an abrasion for refinement, non? survival forces us to change; without the struggle of rawness, how would we evolve? these extremes are accelerating, forcing us through the bottleneck of critical transformation.

let's be frineds. i pray everyday. ciaokissnisi

Shhh...the celtic knot I'm getting done is actually my avatar except it's in the form of aphorisms by my favorite guitarist. wink
alienprincess:
man, your post about freegeek makes me want to move across the country. we have nothing so cool out here- that I am aware of.
(so far me and welntaod are pretty rooted here by our jobs/famies)
hehe, here I am about to move basically five miles from here, and it's giving me travelling feet.

I'm really trying to get centered lately. I think part of it will be back in balance after the move. I dunno. I need to readsometing good, get my perspective back, that sort of thing.

I'm sorry to hear that you're ill. Hope you're pulling through okay.

The site is indeed a fun way to learn all manner of new things. In fact, were it not for the community I never would've signed up. My argument against joining was that it made no financial sense to pay X amount today to get Y content when tomorrow I would pay the same amount for more content (ad nauseum). The community makes that argument null, for me.

and if those don't work, go to the doc girl!

get well soon, and take care. kiss

For me, it's Odin-ish from the coat & hat. But, it reminds me more of Mad Hettie from Sandman. There's truth in the absurdity of both images & I think she had a useless umbrella that she used...maybe. smile

I've been so un holiday.... I'll get in the mood for the holidays soon, I figure.
actually the party didn't really work out since Welntaod cut his finger and couldn'tgo since he was in the emergency room. I then didn't want to go, but went for a while because it was a going away party for a friend who I may never see again. then I got stuck watching the door there for rather longer than I wanted, then finally I got to go and see welntaod at like 2:00 am.
I'm so glad I got to see him because otherwise I would have been freaked out all night....

so I don't know, we figure these going away parties are bad luck for us...

my mom just gave me an early christmas present, a book called Zen Healing, about zen and being a caregiver. very interesting.

damn my english is all discombobulated because I've been speaking portuguese earlier. `

ps. I love to dress up! and I think of myself as being un girlie...

Dragonflies, huh? That is way kewl. I think they are neat for several reasons: 1) Evolutionarily speaking, their body design is very ancient. They have not particularly needed to evolve much for hundreds of millions of years. 2) They usually mate while in flight--the male transfers sperm to a special receptacle typically located on the second abdominal segment and clasps a female behind the head with small appendages on the tail--this often heart-shaped configuration is known as a "mating wheel". 3) Their teeth are among the stoutest in the class Insecta, which led taxonomists to name their orderOdonata in reference to the Greek word "odon", meaning "tooth". 4) Their spiny legs angle to form a sort of basket-shaped thing with the opening pointing forward in flight. With their powerful wings they can easily overtake most other insects, scooping them up and simply bending their necks a bit to munch on their hapless victim; this entirely aerial feeding behavior is rather unique.
There are other things but those are the most salient in my mind now.
Please pardon my lecturing. I love insects.
And I don't know why some of my posts like this one end up being really tall and skinny--sorry about that.

I can manage it, but I find that the deeper the feelings I had the longer it takes and the harder it is.

i don't know...for me, i tend to oscillate between the two with certain people. not so much with others. most everything has fuzzy edges for me these days.

i do know, though, that seemingly all things in our world (the real one, they call it) have a beginning and an end - the temporary nature lends an immediacy and beauty to life. it's here, it's gone - the japanese call it mono no aware.

wow, now i'm waxing all milan kundera on ya.

I've proudly saved all of the precious non-sense that people have handed to me over the years. My high school composition teacher would be impressed that these people all seem to try and back up their arguements with plenty of quotes and book exerpts! biggrin

the chick tract parody is the funniest thing i've seen on the net in a looooong time. heh heh.

purple would be a good match with your skintone (well, from what i can see of it in tiny JPGs). smile
