So, the burlesque show was radness on a stick. The husband and I had a great time, we hung out with murderballads, met the lovely Shera in the balcony bar before the show, and saw mydeconstruction on the floor before the show. And I came across a chocolate-covered Gadget in the bathrom afterwards.
Ed had a wonderful time yelling Dave Chappelle as Lil Jon references with the two black gentlemen behind us. They were the ones saying "What?! Yeeeahhhh!!" I found the show to be utterly adorable, and I found a girl to replace Louise in my favorites list-- the lovely and talented Nixon.
I am link-happy today.
I should have gotten my period like a week ago, bt I haven't. What gives? I took a pregnancy test, which came back negative. I don't know what else it could be.
I am saddened by the beheading of Paul Johnson, but find justice in the fact that his murderers were also killed. Once again, the verbal pissing contest on the current events board disappoints me-- it's not about using bigger words or being more verbose, it's not even about who's right or wrong. It's a time when we need to realize who our enemies are, and they aren't people who hold different political beliefs. We need to come together and support each other, support our troops and our people who are over in the MidEast, getting kidnapped and getting killed. We need to support the Iraqi and Saudi people, to reaqlize that they are not the enemy either. We cannot condemn entire cultures, just the "people" that commit these acts of violence.
My daughter's birthday is tomorrow, as is ButcherFX's. God bless America.
