Just popping in while I'm taking a break from making 7 pounds of my famous chili. My eyes feel like they are bleeding from dicing now 3 onions. Once the garlic is in then I have to let it simmer for 4-5 hours. This stuff packs so much punch it can give you enough gas to power your car for the summer. Hence, this is my solution to the high gas prices. Chili powered cars (well gas from the chili).
Speaking of gas. On May 19 there is a gas blackout. The e-mail I was sent is below. DON'T BUY GAS ON THE 19th and make sure to tell your friends, family and even strangers.

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM"
DAY ANDTHE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.
Edit: I may even talk to some people I know that own gas stations here in Greenwich and see if they will close the pumps that day and just leave the market and garages open. They too are sick of these prices.
