It's that time of the year where many of us feel filled with the Yuletide joy.
I suppose it takes me a while to get into the spirit of things. I normally give to charity throughout the year from my pay check so at Christmas it's more about acts of kindness for me. Normally you'll find me as the Christmas grump in the office as work tends to take the cheer out of my day!
I suppose the first thing is friends and family, buying presents and getting them wrapped as well as visiting people I haven't seen for a while is always a bit of cheer spreading and gets me in the Christmas mood, I like the excitement I get when I find a gift for someone that I really like.
The next is volunteering, working with animals and the elderly at this time is really important. Animal shelters need volunteers to help keep animals looked after so that the staff can have a break, what's better than taking out a dog to play with and look after over Christmas! Needless to say it takes all my will power to give them back (or on occasion I have persuaded family to adopt them).
The other is to help out retirement homes and support age concern charities. No one should be alone at Christmas and it's so nice to help out and just be there for someone else at this time of year.
So while I'll act the humbug in the office I actually a big softie at heart.
Merry Christmas from me, Tasha, Lady, Ollie, Bounderby, Louis, Boots, Smudge and Trouble (only two of these are human...)
