/sigh. Not much to report on. Life goes on but nothing all that exciting. Adulthood is boring. I feel kind of odd not going back to school. Part of me wishes I was; this feeling of not accomplishing anything drives me bat shit. My feelings of self worth are derived from constantly being busy and feeling like I'm actually doing something.

I wouldn't say being female necessarily affected the trip. We were in such a large group (nearly 50 people total) that there was no way not to blend in. Frankly, the thought never even occurred to me! I think if I was traveling solo or just with another individual, I might feel differently. It's still the Middle East and I felt like there were plenty of other signs that women are treated like second class citizens.
Yea, this was definitely an interesting look into another world. My only other travels outside the U.S. was Japan and shit, that place was better than here! It did make me feel somewhat grateful to come from the States after visiting there, I'll say that.
Glad I went, definitely happy to be home though.
