I had an excellent Scene Study last night. The first duo went up to perform their scene, and it was none other than the opening scene of Sexual Perversity in Chicago (immortalized/bastardized as About Last Night(1986)). If you'll please indulge me in a flashback...

The year was 1996, and vyeseleph and I were both in our second years of our degrees (she: medicine, I:...

I don't really remember what it was for. I think it may have been something about phones, or online? Sorry, I'll keep an eye out for it this weekend. wink

Man, Six Feet Under is such a good show. And Lauren Ambrose is so preeeeeeeeeetty.

I finally got to spend more than, like, five awake minutes with vyeseleph last night. I'd barely seen her since Saturday!

I thought of you today. It was because I ate a burger on an English muffin with ham and hollandaise sauce. Then I remembered you were one of those people. Then I was sad that would would never know intimately the taste sensation what is the Burger Benedict.

So, yeah, I'm a little hung over. At least I didn't get home only to find out that I now have to go into work.

Good party last night. But I'm pissed off that someone decided to steal from the hosts.

Went to see the ass doctor yesterday. Looks like I'll be getting a colonoscopy next month! Fun, right?

Last night we went to the village for dinner at Meskerem and to see smoking drinking Irishman Dylan Moran do stand-up. Anyway, he was quite good: "Your eyes dead spiders thumbed into a meatloaf head with fire-retardant hair."

My research has revealed that Charlie Brown is always...

Your first colonoscopy.. how special, you should video tape it like birth, and then show it to unsuspecting house guest.
yumchen:
Ah something to look forward too.
At least you don't have to get your boobies squished flat between to panes of glass!

Bah....

Went to an open call for Gin & Tonic: The Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman. A friend had sent me an email, alerting me to it.

9:00 Dressed in my crushed velvet suit (email: "Costumes are encouraged"), I get in line. My immediate line surroundings:

  • Man in suit and bowler hat
  • French woman with air of professionalism
  • Me
  • Terry Gilliam lookalike
  • College Yahoo...

I just bought my plane ticket for my sister's wedding on the 27th. It was supposed to be two tickets, but we can't find flights with both A. a reasonable flight time B. an un-outrageous price. So VSLF won't be able to make it, which is a shame. I'm sure SGNY will take good care of her.

Buying tickets online is always a little stressful...

The worst thing about buying tickets online (especially for international flights) are all the extra fees. My tickets to Germany were listed as 235 and I ended up paying 360 because of fees. Crap. Where are you going for the wedding?

Hope you're feeling better. Brunch this weekend?
geekgurl:
Thanks. smile

Love the new pic. wink

Feeling better? kiss How bout now? smile

Please listen to this mp3.

You will not regret it.

Update: Vodka hangovers (even very light ones) seem to make me depressed.

Also: A half-smiling guy stared at me as I walked up 3AV this afternoon. I turned around after I passed him and he was still starting. Then he murmured something I couldn't hear. I asked, "pardon?", only after realizing that he was talking...

Not quite a 386 but thanks. I haven't yet read Chunky Rice, but Blankets could be likened to Brooklyn Dreams if you have read that. Wow, my drunken diction (previous comment) is pretty damn lacking. Eh, fuck it. Sent you an email.

NIce Afro, it was good to see you the other night, I wanted to invite you out to Bembe tomorrow night for the last FIre Pona Tuesday Party. There is a post in the group.

I think that joke's worn a bit thin. Time for a change. Right?

Did you know: Tina's two favorite tacquerias in San Francisco and my two favorite tacquerias in San Francisco are the same two establishments? I had a Chipotle burrito yesterday, 'twas but a shadow of TCC's finest.

Party tonight!
