TITILLATING UPDATES:
Episode A: Siv almost gets the nickname "Nubby."
Episode B: Peter Sellers just called, and he's all sticky.
The parrot tried to bite me today. whenever i open the little door to change its water, it sidles over with the swiftness of a spider, the ungrateful little feathery bastard. this time it actually leapt at the bars. them's some sharp beaks, yo. so i screamed like a little girl on the teacups.
also! oh, this is exciting in my humdrum littletown life: today i was introduced to the magic that is THE PINK PANTER. no spelling errors there. this is evidently a crazy sad man who calls our store and stalks the female employees. joe, my boss, decided it would be funny not to tell me that the person on the other end was likely masterbating into a sock until after i hung up.
Apparently, it's some 60 year old dude who always calls and asks to speak to "that helpful girl who works there" and says that she's sold him stuff before and he'd like to order from her. Mission accomplished: he gets a lady's voice. (Cue the Ladie's Man: "It'th a laydeeee!")
Then he asks the same four questions to buy time.
-Do you sell leather pants and jackets.
-What sizes?
-Do you sell leather underwear?
-Do you have a dressing room?
today the man also tried to make me believe he was 20 years old and --in an amazing display of illogicity AND nonsequitor-- "recently coming out of the closet."
He also kept repeating that he was "nervous." Perhaps to cover up the tremors of autoflogging eminating from the voice on his end?
Needless to say, this made me feel gross although i do feel sort of sorry for the guy. I have no idea why, but the idea of someone getting off to my voice is much much ickier than someone whacking it to my pics. Maybe it's because i like you guys and there's no trickery involved.

As for the getting off to your voice, I think that that would be much more disgusting as that seems to be more personal. Pictures are inanimate. They are nothing but a frozen moment in time. A voice is something that is always there and always part of you. That IS pretty disturbing now that I am thinking about it more.
As for the parrot -- those things wig me out. I hate birds that are bigger than a cute lil parakeet. A friend of mine used to have a scabby, mean old parrot named Cortez, whom he'd trained to scream "Motherfucker! Awwwk! Motherfucker!" Cortez was also a notorious eater of fingers. Creepy fuckin bird.
I'm glad you liked the desktop I did -- hope you don't mind that I used the kimono pic from your candids. It was just too pretty to pass up. I also really liked the geisha girl photo. You're a wonderful photographer.
