I went to the bookstore the day before yesterday and bought two books: Youth in Revolt by CD Payne, and Bruce Campbell's autobiography, If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-movie Actor. I highly recommend both.

I'm not going to explain Youth in Revolt here, it's just too bizarre. Check it out on Amazon.

I wonder if you have to have been an awkward...

I've decided that having an imagination is a terrible thing. Parents, please, don't let your kids grow up on fantasy and science-fiction novels. It's cruel.

I grew up reading such things. And it's terrible, because I have to live in the real world. No magic, no force powers, wizards or dragons.

When did I stop believing?

basically all i know how to do is get the pics from the camera into the computer, and then someone taught me how to put them in photobucket so i can post them. the problem lies wherein the preview image (the one i used) is too small, but when i use the larger image it cuts out half the picture. i dont understand computer stuff until someone shows me. im old! it reminds me of how my mother could never work the VCR. my kids will laugh at me like i did at her.

So I graduated today. Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Mathematics, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, etc.

I'm sure it was all very exciting. I got to wear a robe and a funny hat; it had a gold tassel. Very spiffy threads, I must say.

Other than that, not much eventful. It sounds like my sister is just getting home from the prom, at...

I saw Revenge of the Sith yesterday, of course. I thought it was great. But I'm a nerd, so my opinion on Star Wars is questionable.

No, but really, it is pretty good. Ok, I think spectacular, but I've been waiting for it my entire life. Definately a tear-jerker, even though you know what's going to happen. Heartbreaking, even.

I see that it had leaked...

Well, graduation is this Saturday. Isn't that exciting? I think I'll pick up my cap and gown today. I'll probably wear them around just for the hell of it.

However, the big question is, "What am I going to do next?" It's looking more and more like I won't be going to grad school in the fall. I've begun to accept this, and am ok...

I was playing around with Photoshop this morning. You can see the results in my profile pic. I'm still not sure if I like it - I may need to change the posterization setting things. Make the shadows more subtle, maybe.

Hell, I don't know what I'm talking about, actually.

I received a rejection letter the other day from the University of Iowa at Iowa...

Woo! Tiger finally arrived. Granted, it was supposed to be here yesterday, but FedEx tried to deliver it at 11 in the morning. Why would they attempt to deliver to a residence at that time of day? Did they really expect someone to be home? As if we all take the day of to stay home and wait for deliveries!

What's more, they didn't even...

I always enjoy a good mathematician. Two of my funniest friends are math majors...one is giving up math to work go and try to work for Disney, though.

I couldn't tell ya if my drunken dancing gets better when I'm drunk or not but I sure think it does at the time. I think it would be funny to see a whole bunch of mathematicians trying to ballroom dance while wasted from a topographic perspective and measure the angles between them all with a protractor... biggrin

I had this dream this morning that I logged onto SG and my journal was suddenly filled with comments. It was, of course, a dream.

Interesting thing about my dreams, though. Don't the 'experts' say people aren't supposed to be able to read in dreams? I do it all the time.

Have to give a presentation on the Hilbert Problems today. Mathematics. Doesn't that sound...

I saw one of my best friends from high-school this past Sunday. She and I were really close, but had something of a falling-out after I graduated; I chose not to speak to her for about five years.

The last time I saw her was about a year ago. We hung out a few times then, had a good time and all. No conflict. Then...

Not really a whole lot to write. MathGirl is away from home, looking for apartments in her soon to be new city. Which is even farther away from me than her current city. Damn it!

So I'll be going a weekend without any nice emails. What am I supposed to to? Probably get drunk.
