I'm quitting my job to be a stay at home dad. I'm excited and it kind of sucks. I really like working, but I'm kind of tired of my current job and I'll be much more comfortable not sending the baby to daycare. I ran into one of my old bosses a couple of days ago... or yesterday, I don't remember. I told him I'm...

I had a fun Fourth of July. We had food and fireworks. We also had a friend over, so after the fireworks, we sat around and played video games.

Still no baby. We've been thinking about when the baby's here. We don't like the idea of daycare and it's hard enough, as it is, with us being working parents and having a fourteen year old....

I've had American Gods on my list of 'to reads' in a while. Some of those characters show up in a few of the short stories in Fragile Things.

I have a fourteen year old who has suddenly become afraid of the dark again. Not much has changed in his life lately. He got out of school for summer, started watching a little more TV and playing video games again. I've been telling him he needs to start turning off his light when he goes to bed. My wife suggested getting him a night...

"Tonight, I think I solved the problem. I told him that if he leaves his light on again, I'm taking his lightbulbs"

HA HA HA
gangstaswan:
Could he have watched a scary movie? I know I get super anxious when I can see the day ending because I feel alone and deeply frightened. I personally cannot sleep without some form of light in my room so I feel his pain and fear.

My fourteen year old went to bed and I was digging through old stuff and found the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that I printed out a long time ago. I decided that it would be funny if I went in there and acted like I was going to read him all six pages of it. Well, he started throwing things at me and it...

Other people never photograph me, which is likely for the best, since I have the magical ability to appear stoned in every picture taken despite having never partaken of a joint yet. I am likewise reluctant to photograph myself.

In new news! We're planning a water birth and we're excited about that. I'm not selling motorcycles right now. I might get back to that later. I got a new TV, it's cool. Our fourteen year old passed all of his classes, with decent grades. Waking up before seven is for the birds and I am not a bird.

That's all.

At my job, I make minimum wage or commission, whichever one is greater. So far business has been slow and I'm working so many extra hours to make up for the slow business that I haven't made over hourly wage. We get paid bi-weekly and I think I already made a decent check. I've sold three bikes. One was around $20,000, another was around $25,000...

Today, one of my coworkers called me boy. I don't know what he said. I wasn't paying attention. All I noticed was that he called me boy. Without paying attention, I told him "If my fourteen year old cousin calls me boy, he gets slapped in the face." He said something that made some sense about it being used jokingly among peers, but I told...
