So while talking inre snailmail with Penny today, I think we agreed that we should rename the "Post Office" the "Post Orifice" and make it so when you went to drop off your mail, instead of a box, you would just go and stick it up a monkey's ass . Of course this would require something more heavy duty than normal envelopes, so I thought...

In charge of my reproductive organ?? What part of my entry makes you think I have any sort of control? I am beginning to think that I have control of nothing. Yeah, I'm a little down.

New haircut day. i feel pruned.

What to do this weekend? well Gogol Bordello is playing two shows at North Six, both of which I sadly can not go to. I am in full cheap bastard mode, and the 17 dollar tix are a bit heavy. If anyone in NY hears this in time, try to check 'em out. IMHO Gogol are the most interesting...

I'm finishing up a really good book called "Life of Pi". It was recommended by my ex-girlfriend, who is the ultimate cat lady, and it's about an Indian boy who is stuck on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean with a fully grown tiger on board. Cat lovers, take note.

oh yesss, me good good friend clickbeeptss joined today, so maybe you...

There are definitely a lot of internal changes in one's 20's, but what I was getting at was that "I don't give a shit what you think" confidence that comes when you're a little older, and that self-possessed quality we attain (even though I don't believe in the inherent existence of self, but that's another discussion). OK, I'm bipolar, so in my 20's I was in and out of fucking hospitals all the time, rapid cycling like a motherfucker ~ talk about internal changes! I have noticed that girls in their teens and 20's today are more empowered than when I was in high school, so perhaps I shouldn't be rubbed the wrong way when people assume I'm 19-23. They say I don't look or act 35, but what is a 35 year old supposed to act like? Perhaps if I'd taken the yuppie path I would have a different mode of expression (not just aesthetically) today. I certainly hope I won't get less "pliable" as I get older. It would be weird to just "stop".
Btw, I originally had Echo and the Bunnymen under 'favorite band', too. I saw them with the Psychedelic Furs last year.
(Richard Butler of the Furs is the -nicest performer in the world-, smiling and shaking everyone's hand like he was running for President Gas or something.)

Uhhhm, so its back to work, or what passes for it these days. The first order of business is to do a damn dirty flyer for next months LOUNGE ARCADE event. This is an extra special party as my friend and yours Luna will be manning the decks. Keep an eye out on the events for details on the March 10th festivities ("It's a Festhival!!!")....

Its really sad when you see a protest gather tens of thousands of people and that all the news can focus on is how much the protest *costs* the city of NYC in extra policework, etc.

Its not like all those people were out there *for* any good reason right?

"All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tommorow, no tommorow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World "
