So what is everyone planning for Valentine's Day? I'm making ricotta and mozza cheese rolled in lasagna noodles and smothered with homemade spaghetti sauce. We will probably snuggle on the couch and watch Penguins: Spy in the Huddle. This will celebrate our 29th year since our first date.

Day 12 of crow-xperiment is going well. I've been throwing out unshelled peanuts on the walkway (they make noise that crows listen for apparently) and they are finally starting to come around and eat them. So today I put more on the wall that they like to perch on to entice them further.

I feed the jays peanuts. They've been coming around for years now. The crows seem to really like dry cat food.

Sending lots of love to you all. Christmas decorations are slowly being taken down. They have been sequestered to the ballroom now, so the spread has been limited. Quarantine boxes are being set up and they are being filled, waiting until they are opened to spread again.

Yep.  The Girl Scouts was one of the few pieces of my social life as a child in the Bible Belt that didn't involve Jesus or prayer.  If anything they're a bit pagan since brownie scouts were named after a certain type of faerie.

Still, trying to move forward today, at least get a shower, go out for lunch...

Strange thing happened...
Driving back home, about a mile from the house, saw a man cross the street from one side to the other, and when 10 seconds later I drive past where he crossed he was gone. It's a 2 lane side road that has trees on either side, but it's winter so the trees are bare and site lines are pretty far (I...

Ah, the quietness of a day. No loud noises, I can relax and play a bit of my game. It's so ni.......

But then the person living with us let's her dog upstairs then goes back downstairs to hang out with her other dog. And this dog chews nonstop on itself. So. Loudly! Arrrrggggh! Silence is shattered and now increasingly annoying.

Relocated to another room...

Well, trapped in the ice, in North Carolina. Only takes about 3/4 inch to stop everything. Fortunately we've been able to dig out over the last 2 days and should be able to get out of the house tomorrow. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult, but yeah...
