one of my favorite terms is "chutney ferret".. i'm not sure what it means exactly, but I know it's something dirty.

i feel fucking fantastic. i went to a chiropractor for the first time today, and i am actually sitting up straight without trying. all it took was three highly disturbing crunches, and my back pain instantly went away. attention fellow computer geeks: run, don't walk, to your nearest chiropractor. this has been a public service announcement.

Good to see you again, sir- I just sent a friend request your way, I hope you don't mind. Would've loved to talk more- but good call on the long distance relationships group.

Onetime at work, I dropped a pen and twisted to pick it up, and somehow proceeded to crack every vertebrae in my spine. For a second, I thought I'd crippled myself, then I realized it actually felt a whole lot better...smile
Glad things worked out for you too smile

In case you haven't already, DO NOT, under any circumstances, go out to see the Passion of the Christ. If anyone ever wanted to create a 3 hour advertisement for atheism, this was it.

I'm not sure what exactly drove me and Olivia to go watch this turkey - perhaps it was boredom or morbid curiosity. In any case. the first half hour set up...

I was gonna go and see this cos its going to be one of those contraversial movies the people talk about forever.

But I hate Gibson. And it'll probably suck.

Balls.
sacredlion:
I saw the movie, and found it to be nothing more than an excruciatingly accurate above all dispassionate telling of Christ's death as recorded in the gospels. Which lends a kind of irony to the title I suppose.

The film produced no emotional response whatsoever, which -- even though I'm not christian -- is quite a trick given that it's the most realistically violent movieI've seen since Saving Private Ryan.

On second thought, it's considerably more violent than Saving Private Ryan.

BTW, the whip-thing the Romans used is called a scourge, and those are bits of broken glass, not metal.

today, olivia and i finally made it down to city hall to watch the gay weddings. when we showed up, there were several local news trucks surrounding the area - some looked like they had been camped out for days. but i was surprised to see that things were quite calm. no christian protesters, no appearances by arnold schwarzenegger with a bazooka, in fact, not...

I don't think it's a big deal. The heart wants what the heart wants.

Yea, I got to go watch some of them too. My cousin is gay and lives in the city, and we got to watch some of his friends get married. It was a very cool thing.

You have to think about the good things that will come out of this though. Look at what Gavin Newson is doing and saying. He has said some amazing in the past few weeks. We just have to wait and see what happens.

How odd, I just had a conversation about that topic this evening. Seems to me that government should just stay out of personal business, but then what would all those politicians do all day?
hulasboy:
hey, somehow my account got comped.

i wanted to say hey, hope all's well.

Just out of curiousity (your Kucinich post made me think of this) can SG endorse a political candidate? As odd as it sounds this site could actually carry some political clout, since it represents a fairly large number of people. And if SG can endorse one - who gets to decide who it is?
calvinbrookfield:
I watch the DVD in marathon fashion. I enjoy *Sex in the City*. Glad to see that HBO isn't going to run it into the ground. Stop while it's still interesting.

olivia says that i never write about her on the internet, and because of this, the world is convinced that our relationship is purely an invention of her imagination, and that others are merely humoring her. i never write about her on the internet, she always writes about me. she appreciates me using words, and i upload photos of the cat. clearly i am in...
