I keep replaying a certain 5 seconds in my head.
on repeat.
Me sitting on the break table, looking at Anthony when he says something like
"You need to make friends with people who actually care about you", (referring to Dirk, among countless others) At the time i blew that off.
"What is he talking about? If i ever need anything these people are here."
I was wrong. He is right.
I have the worst taste in friends EVER.
My problem is when making new ones, how the fuck am i supposed to tell if they're jerkoffs like all of the other ones?!

This wasn't even a problem for me until recently.
At least i know i have 2 friends that are here for me regardless. Except i hardly ever see them anymore.
And Kelly is gone.

choosing the right friends can be hard.. and it's a long process, usually. but you have to go with people who make you feel good about you, who make you smile just because they're there with you. people who will tell you all the wonderful things about you but still let you know when you're acting like a jerk. people who will always be honest with you because they have nothing to lose or gain from things. they're just there to be your friend and share some good times.

they are few and far between. and don't i know it.
