Like the other bands on your list so checked Rachael Yamagata. The Reason Why is a pretty good song, any other songs of hers you recommend? She's got a breathier Bat for Lashes thing going on that is easy on the ears.

I started a "Compliment Book". I got the idea from this book I was reading. Basically, every time someone compliments you or supports you in whatever it is you're doing, you write it down along with who said it so you have something to fall back on when it seems like no one is on your side.
