After sitting in horrendous traffic yesterday, I think I have now formulated my position on war protesters...I HATE 'EM!!! How can causing me to sit in a huge traffic jam do anything to end this fucking war. NEWS FLASH: This ship has sailed! The fucking cruise missiles are raining down on the bad guys and the Iraqi army is wandering around with white flags...

linz:
these protestors are doing things the WRONG way. if they want to really make a point why dont they camp out in front of some corporate whores mansion or soemthing unstead of rallying around where small businesses and commuters end up being the real losers. that shit gets on my nerves. do they even know what the hell they are doing?

ps. thanks

Democrat here too. I still blame OUR party for giving King George all this GD power. Let's hope this is quick.

So let's see, we now want control of Afghanistan (really, no one had a problem with that, although, like big George from the first gulf war, we didn't get the head honcho) and now we want to control and "democrocize" Iraq. First off.....where are we getting the $ for this? Uh...right....we dont have it. Secondly, who says the gulf region is into democracy? I am sure the Saudi's and the Iranians LOVE the idea of a free democratic state in their back yard.

Lastly, (thank GOD for the BBC) the rebuilding of Iraq is more ambitions than the Marshall plan and (how odd) will go to American companies with politcal ties to Washington.

And we let this hapen.....sheesh.

Here's some March Madness for ya...

I'm kinda late checking in today because I've been crouched under a table all day waiting for the end of the world. Since it hasn't come yet I figure I'll update my journal...OUCH!...sorry just banged my head my head on this fucking table!

Anyone else see Bush's speech last night? Quick...what phrase comes to mind? Those answering "deer caught in headlights" have the correct...

Bought some new CDs over the weekend and here's the very initial report:

"Feast of Wire" by Calexico - Good so far, seems to be a grower. Has gotten over-the-top reviews (including from our own illustrious O) and I haven't heard that kinda godhead yet, but we'll see. I like it when it's on but, as with alot of "roots" music made by indie...

Here's a question for a Friday. How come it seems like the career path for hip hop musicians is to get themselves cast in corny low-budget action movies or brainless sitcoms?

If a rock musician started appearing in the type of utter trash that all these rappers are in, their credibility as musicians would go right down the drain. However, the rappers seem to...

Hey, thanks for all that in my journal, you're absolutely right, I know. There were a few other things at play other than the bad crowd that night, so that added to it and made it feel like a REALLY shit night, when all in all it was only average. I talked it over with my band-mates + they're all right - the crowd were terrible, but we played really really well, so we did our best, you know wink

You're a sweety kiss Climbing to the moon is my most favourite off that album *sigh* so beautiful...

It's funny I've never seen the Eels the way you described them in my journal because ever since Beautiful Freak, they've been pretty popular over here and sold out most gigs. For that very reason I am yet to see them live frown Isn't it strange how a band can be disliked by their own country, but loved by another - just like the Pixies + Radiohead...

With due credit to member fil for inspiring me to rant on this topic, today I'd like to pose the musical question: "What the fuck is the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Fame all about!?!"

Those of us who take R 'n' R seriously (and I have to assume that the people in charge of the Hall of Fame take it wayyyyy seriously) consider it...

I was driving thru Malibu this morning and I saw a woman driving an electric car with a peace sign sticker on it. This sight inspired in me a sudden realization of what I think the great Jackson Browne refers to as "the smallness of our lives."

What I mean is that here was this obviously well-intentioned woman doing what...

If you want better Gin you should get yourself some Bombay Sapphire- I don't think anything tastes as good as that stuff, gin-wise, though it's pretty strong..

Anyways- I take pride in being into music no-one else is, you know? Like I notice you also like Television? I find that exceptionally cool because Marquee Moon is one of my top ten albums of all time - and so few people I've ever met have even heard of them and don't know what they're missing.

And Phil Spector is unquestionably cool- liek talk about way to change production values in modern music- and so before his time...

Anywasy- take it easy

you should definitely go to yoga. at least here, there are a number of men there (more girls, but still some men.) it makes you flexible. flexible is sexy. it makes you graceful. graceful is sexy. it makes you in-shape. in-shape is sexy. and it makes you mentally stabler, and calmer, and i don't know if that's sexy, but it's really nice (for you.) i love yoga a lot. it makes me happy, and not many things make me happy.

what kind of yoga does she do?

I don't wanna hijack yr journal, but you asked about Graham Parker's book. It's called Carp Fishing on Valium. It's...sorta-autobio-short-stories, possibly- autobio-short-stories, and fake-autobio-short-stories.
Examples-- reminiscing on egg-collecting as a kid; working in a lab of experimental-mice; mod/rocker street-fights as a teen; Mick Jagger gets killed, and Keith asks him to join the Stones-- the main character isn't Graham Parker, but rather "Brian Porker". Most of the book is good.
cherry:
I would like me some groupies confused

Oh, I checked out X (what I could hear of them on the msn preview thing mad ) They sound pretty cool... they're imagry is most intriguing. But I can't find any good songs to download + I'm broke right now...
