Let's see...
Today I took pictures at a DUI car accident. The driver is scratched up on the head but otherwise ok, His passanger is across the hood with brain matter and her eye ball on the hood with lots of blood, and the other car had 2 kids trapped inside. The driver who was drunk was taken to jail, his passanger was DOA, The other car: the driver went to the hospital with injuries that weren't too bad but her passanger had to be life flighted. I followed the Corener to the morgue. The morgue had a lot of bodies already that day, one that was already decomposing and so it smelled up the place. They took the girls body out of the van and weighed her with the gurney and everything, then they moved her to a autopsy table and weighed the gurney to find her weight, then took her finger prints, and a couple pictures themselves. I took pictures the whole time. After that they put her in the autopsy room.
--Then she got off the table and took off her makeup. She isn't really dead...in fact the entire accident is fake. It is done in front of high schools around the country to show kids that Every 15 Mins. a person is taken because of drunk driving. The kids acting are kids from that school so it usually hits the students pretty bad. They don't always know that it's fake until they see the kids involved at school and ok again. A television station filmed it just like they would anything and give the tape to students to show their parents and so on. I took the still pictures for the slideshow/movie that is happening tomorrow. I am so glad that I got to be apart of this because it was done at my high school also and it hit me and my friends hard. I think that it won't work for all students but it doesn't hurt to have it.
P.S. The morgue really was full of bodies and did smell bad!!!
