So last night I got my first piercing! I've been thinking about getting my septum done for awhile but my parents were absolutely against the idea. So I waited until I turned eighteen. Yesterday, I was actually going to get a tattoo originally but the place was swamped. My best friend and I were really bummed. Then we thought "Hey what about a hole?" I knew exactly what I wanted because with the septum I can just flip it up when I go to work. We only had to wait about 45 minutes (we went and got food) before being able to get it done. I was totally pumped and not nervous at all. And oh man, it hurt. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. The piercer had a hard time pushing it through the other side of my nose and I think that's what hurt. But after that it didn't hurt much and my eyes stopped watering. He put in a 14G circular barbell. I think that the piece of jewelry is a little big for my nose and I'll probably change it when it's healed.
