I hope everyone had a great 3-day July 4th weekend!
I went to an awesome barbecue with family and friends and then we lit tons of fireworks at night. My fav were the rockets and the spinning eyes that shoot sparks and then explode!
On Sat, I went to a sushi party and on Sunday went to a movie. ooo aaa

I am doing okay still not feeling as good as I can be but glad to be alive

Hi there! Hope you're feeling good and enjoying life. I'm still trying wink.

We finally sent our demo to a company to get 250 copies and I feel really mixed up. It's hard to keep in mind this is our FIRST demo and it doesn't have to be perfect...but some mistakes and deficiencies feel bad for a control freakish girl like me.

Anyway if you want to hear some clips of our stuff then check out http://www.myspace.com/immortalangelica

I had a great Memorial Day weekend and I hope you all did too (except those of you who live in another country and don't have Memorial Day). First of all, I did take time to remember the people that I've known that are no longer living (like my dad). I went to Honeymoon Island where I had a picnic with friends and family, flew...

UGH!! I've been sick on and off for the past 3 weeks...most evenings my temp has been 102! But I still forced myself to work and that was a big mistake. ugh!

Anyway, Im hoping I feel better by Saturday so I can go and celebrate St Patrick's Day! (I'll have a beer or 2--I never get drunk).
lumiere:
Oh that's so nice if you liked my set.

Take care of yourself and get well soon!

I've been very busy working/teaching/recording at the music studio in Tampa. Tmw some of my students have a recital to demonstrate how far they've progressed in the last few months (Guitar and Piano).
Next week I'm going to Busch Gardens, Tampa. I LOVE theme parks..do you?? Let's go!! ooo aaa

AAh the great thing about teachers is that when you like them, you generally want to do very well and impress them and when they're complete assholes, it's all the more motivation to do well and prove them how good you are. So in the end it works out biggrin ! (I do hope that they do well though and that they don't think you're an asshole!)

I think I actually went to Busch gardens in tampa 2 years ago, from what I remember it was fun, man this is making me want to go to an amusement park now! My father is a photographer and when I was a kid he worked for them during a while so I'd go every two weeks or something for free, I can't tell you how jealous my friends were...Too bad England doesn't seem to have too many of those.

To get back to you on the previous comments, the ants seem to be resisting all types of destruction I've inflicted upon them, I have to admit, I haven't tried the swords though!

And yes those are indeed clown noses !(you can't imagine how much stuff like that I own...)

Your picture rocks! You look awesome and your t-shirt looks wicked! cheers!

hey! don't be knocking KISS... they put on a killer show musically... and damn! i couldn't prance around in those shoes! hehe smile

Updating but nothing new going on...Just got tired of seeing my last entry. I'm still working 6 days a week, but will be taking time off soon. ooo aaa
dicey:
hehe! Yeah I updated for the same reason (well and to brag about our victory biggrin) that seriously rules that HST was your great-uncle! Did you ever meet him?

And hey don't complain (I know you're not really lol) tons of people would love to be doing guitar stuff all day as a living!

You'll have to tell me more about your KungFu and TaiChi!

Oh and my next tattoo is going to be Carpe Noctem on the side of my breast (though not on it, ow!) mainly because I live at night and can't really ever go to bed early no matter how hard I try, everything I compose, write, paint etc comes to me at night!

There's this whole theory about "the night people" how we're the reason why the human race survived because we were the ones guarding the caves at night, in the prehistoric era, when others were sleeping! It's a long story but yeah it's very meaningful to me smile

i've tested all the new Digitech amp simulators in our studio
and now I'm convinced... much better than having to drive around with a Marshall stack, a couple of Fenders, a real Vox, a Peavey, a Randall and and a Mesa to give every producer what they want.. I've been really busy in the studio playing on people's CD's and teaching, so I can't complain....

Sory you lost your Uncle Hunter - I miss him and I didn't even know him - I can't imagine Thanksgiving dinner with him! But I'm trying.

And Annie Haslam's unbelievable. When I saw Renaissance (Fairport Convention followed by Steeleye Span opened and Fairport's perpetualy doobie-huffin' fiddleman stayed out for Steeleye & Renaissance) it was nearly a religious experience. It would have been nice to hear Mother Russia live but their take on Simon & G's America made hairs stand up on my back that I didn't know I had.

I recently got a used Digitech processor - haven't played with it much except when I do one-man shows and start playing with feedback and space sounds during song to song segues or in my acoustic version of A Day In The Life.

Kept seeing your posts, like in the Static-X thread so I figured I check out your page. You're 91, huh? Did you get to play with Django or Segovia? wink

I now have a Boss Digital Studio. Its a compact digital multi-track recorder that I can use as my sketchbook and can even take it out to the woods! All I gotta do is figure out how to use it!! -- Haha! (I'm no sound engineer). In the studio, I just play and "THEY" do all that stuff.I also have a bunch of Digitech amp...

I tend to think there's only one but that somehow there are a few people you could be very happy living with for the rest of your days...

my bf gave me a Pandora something...which simulates any type amp and effect, it's really great especially since I had to leave my Marshall in Paris frown

as for the list of your fav guitarists, I knew a few of them and my boyf knew alll of them,
I'd have to say my favorite is Alexi Laio, from Children of Bodom merely because live he's just absolutely amazing...

and don't worry about the ex, consider yourself happy that you have great memories...that's always the way I like to see it at least! smile

I love both kinds of Renaissance smile I had some of their albums as well before I tossed them all because I didn't have room. I think I have the live thing on CD, but I"m not sure, my CDs are a mess frown

where'd you get the theme song to Killer Klowns (duh, from Apple wink )? I love the music in that movie - it really adds to the whole experience. And it IS a cool movie to boot smile
