yes... dad has had a bad blood disease for about a year now... transfusions every month... well.. in the last week.. he's up to 2 transfusions a month....and he's now developed congestive heart failure..... the hematologist... is predicting leukemia any week now... his blood is JUST above the rating for full blown blood cancer.

now... his heart is showing the abuse of 2 years of transfusions.... extreme iron deposits on aortic valve has rendered his heart only at a mere 25%.... we all knew it was coming... but he just took a major step down.

i'm ok with this... at 79 ... he has outlived my mother by almost 10 years and seems to roll with the punches pretty well....

it's just hard to deal with everything that surrounds this whole thing... my brothers (much older than i... by 15 years) allthink i'm a complete goof and a still the baby of the family. what a drag.

Gosh, in this day and age I would have thought headbanger disease was curable. Thankfully I never contracted it.

Did you get drunk in Paris or Florence or Coventry or all? Just think, you could have taken Xena and done a Lady Godiva, two more days to pull it off, so to speak.

Welcome back, Too bad I've wander off again. I will be back many times tho. I'm finding I miss product engineering. Manufacturing is slow, boring, and they don't have any money to spend. Australian machines run funny too. I'm working another angle there. May end up in Royal oak after all[ one can only hope]. I can envision rolling down main street in ROMI on the Harley or in the new Saleen as we speak. I'm in the mood for a dangerous street drag race on Woodward right now. Any Chevys around want to experience a 32 valve Ford's tail lights getting smaller.

Yeah, really wish I could see that spectacle this year, but alas I have missed the window. I've heard that driving it is nearly futile if your car tends to get hot, as most street rods do, but a good lawn chair at ROMI is the best venue. Maybe the singing Saleen will make it next year. Hope to see you before the snow flies. What restaurant is next? I vote for Tom's OB
