It's currently pouring rain today. We may get another dry spell before Thanksgiving when I can mow the lawn and pick up leaves one last time before winter.

Okay, we now have lightning and thunder.

Thankfully, no, he isn't in pain. He does spend quite a bit of time sleeping, but what cat doesn't? He's wanting to go outside and crying by the back door a lot and I just can't risk him going off to die somewhere. I'll see if his appetite comes around again in the next couple of days. He's already outlived the vet's estimate by over a month.

Never had any wine without sulfites except for some terrible bitter homemade pear wine. If you buy an expensive old wine from Europe say 1942 something, it would not have sulfites, but that's not in my cellar! I'm sure it biases the flavor some. Some of the sampler wines they serve at the vineyards are unpreserved as well. I put white or ros wine in everything I cook, so I pretty much only buy Berringers because its very consistent.
So has the Puss decided to stay home for the Winter now?miao!!

Somehow my cat got outside on Halloween night, and she is still missing frownskull
I am so sad - Spent 2 hours combing my neighborhood, and talking to everyone I could find...............I really miss her and hope she is alright. She has never been outside in all of her 4 years of life -

catdad:
I'm sure she's scared. Keep calling regularly, look in trees and on house roofs nearby, and ask neighbors to check for her if they have decks or crawlspaces where she could be hiding. Terhu got chased up a neighbor's tree, where he then jumped onto their roof and was stuck there, living under a tarp strung across their second floor wall and across part of their roof, for about a week before he started crying when we called. Sending positive thoughts your way.
catdad:
If she has any particular toys she liked that make noise, take those out around your home so she might hear them. I don't know how protected your yard is, but you might leave some of her food out by your door or garage where she may come looking for it. Of course, if you have a lot of strays around, that may not be a great idea.

Not too much to say, but I thought I'd update. I'm going to Tucson next month for a weekend. I'm making a new corset. My son is about to turn 22! I had a massage today, and I feel tired -
and lonely...............
whatever
ed1e1us:
That's a whole lot...in just a couple of sentences. Sorry to hear that you are lonely, you are too gorgeous to be lonely...too bad you are so far away....Hope you enjoy Tuscon, I was there a couple years ago and I loved it, did some sight seeing, love the Reservations....
kisskiss
9005900:
I live tired, but a massage sounds so good right now. And my wife is useless when it comes to working with her hands (on me!). I guess I would have to make an appointment and just pay for it!

Tucson sounds like fun!!! Is the corset for the trip? I thought they wore chaps and stuff like that over there; although I'd love to see you wearing a corset on your horse!!!

Your son is 22? Phuck, now I feel old -- my youngest is 35! My daughter turned 40 last week!!! blackeyed

Have fun in the West!!! smile

Rode Xena again today. I have my lesson on a school horse, and then I get Xena out for about 20 minutes. A bit less tranquilizer this time - actually almost none. She was great. No cantering yet, but soon. It's been eight years since I broke my collarbone jumping in England, and I am finally jumping again without paralyzing fear! Yay! Better late than...

Are you allowed to get loaded before the costume party? You could go as the designated drunk. wink
jonathaneros:
Didn't think they allowed jumping in England. The Brits are so staid... ; )

Hope the costume party is fun.

Things are looking up - finally. I rode Xena for the first time in 6 months!! We gave her a wee bit of tranquilizer first though. She isn't supposed to canter, ( run ) or buck, or cavort around yet. Too much torque on that knee. So far, so good. smile Not a hint of lameness in walk or trot - Yay!! I'm still taking schooling...

Same old same old really.
Good to see you back smile

I'm starting to feel better. The sad has turned to mad, which is better for me, I think. We were only together 3+ months after all. This is nothing like my 6.5 year relationship ending. But it still sucks, especially since I hadn't met someone I liked that much in 6 years. Thanks for your words of support. kiss

I suppose this is one of the disadvantages of dating younger guys they're more emotionally immature. I do wonder if he's thinking about settling down. People tend to do that early here, and a lot of his friends are getting married etc. And if he sticks with me for the long haul, he's not going to have that cookie-cutter life of getting married, buying a house together, having kids (I generally think my time has run out on the biological clock I turn 40 in a couple of months), etc etc. Who knows?? I could see him coming back after he figures stuff out, but he can also be very black and white in his thinking and could convince himself it's not right for him. Who knows??
catdad:
um, I wouldn't ask things like that.
