My major car trouble ended up being (I think) a faulty gas gauge combined with a year's worth of condensation in the tank. $40 of gas and a bottle of dry gas later, I seem to be back in business. Thank god.

Spent the rest of the night on the front stoop with my godsend of a roommate (thankyouthankyouthankyou Steve, just for being home while...

There is great potential, in the next hour or so, that I will obliterate the last remaining functional sections of my poor overworked G4. I tried to fix a little problem and made it a big problem. Ugh. Time for software restore. Wish me luck.

(I *think* my old blue G3 is still more or less functional, that's why I haven't turned it into a...

The weather is beautiful today, and promising to hold out for the rest of the week...... good for driving, walking, sleeping. This makes me happy.

My trip to San Fran will coincide with a big Bay area poetry slam event, a 4-team fundraising bout between San Jose, San Fran, Oakland and Berkeley. All of these areas send consistently good teams to the national competition, and...

Yesterday was:
11 hours of work
5 hours of driving
2 drinks
1 meal
-1 party

Met up with the friend that I was taking to the SG party after much confusion and lateness and lost the party altogether. We went to Boston Billiards for a couple of drinks instead. I've never been there. *Very* pretty waitresses. Not nearly as good as SGs, tho.... frown

With that much working and driving, I think you came out way behind on the party/drinking part of th equation! wink

Thanks, Amy Cole (who did both tattoos I posted pics of) does really incredible things with color. plus she's awesome about kind of divining exactly what people are looking for effect-wise. biggrin

Well, doesn't sound like your party was that fun, but mine was a huge success! Yes, I'll keep you posted on the custom house, and get up here! wink

Walking that line between desiring solitude and seeking company. Tonight would be a good hooking-up-with-a-comfortable-ex kind of a night. Too bad I don't have any of those left anymore.

WILL IT EVER STOP RAINING??????

(For a girl who *lives* for rain and storms, this is a first.)

PS "Awesome" is opening a credit card bill and suddenly remembering that you paid off the balance last month. That was a nice surprise. Too bad I never get the same reaction from looking at my student loan balance. whatever

if you live for rain, you're living on the wrong coast. wink

"Why does the kitchen look like the army exploded?"

(Roommate #2 was demobilized today and has returned home from a 4-month stint at Fort Dix in Jersey. There is a gun on my kitchen table. I walked past it and went straight to the fridge for the liquor. I think I'm going to need it.)
papawheelie:
I'm liking that new fantasy *wink*

messy. yum.
