i live between worlds, at the moment. my freelance design business has actually become a business, with paying clients and everything, which is quite good. meanwhile, i am still a loyal trader joe's canned pea stocker. one jen, two jobs. i'm very tired. i'm quite sure my neighbors must wonder why i get home at 1AM and am up and out on the back porch again by 8AM for a cigarette and my coffee. maybe no one wonders because, sensible people that they are, they're asleep at 1AM. and on their way to normal jobs at 8. who knows.
(the drug dealers across the parking lot and i do seem to stare at each other an awful lot. my hours are actually weirder than their's are, i think.)
spring in salem is coming. i hope i learn how to juggle this big crazy mess in time to take a day or two (or ten) off for the beach.
