New Order....
When your part of a union there's an order.... The old, old school boys where there before you and will always be old til they're gone. And then, it's your turn to be the old, old school boys.
But why can't they get it together....A quick 5 minute conference to set and order things so the guy at the bottom, me. - And really I'm not a brand new guy. I'm sort of New - old school. Somewhere in the middle. doesn't get sent on three different missions all at the same time. And in doing so gets in the way of the carps. ( Who, have a much harder job than me...Sawdust...Ugh. Just the thought of probably having to deal with sawdusts and spining blades. carps...you win. ) And if I get in the way of the carps everything slows to the speed of molases. Which means we're all stuck here setting drapes and scrims till the wee hours. When all I was called for was to be a stupid electrician.
After dinner, nobody wanted to come back. The confusion and fustration was too much so I relented, stayed, and joined the Video crew. Where I ended up doing all the bloody high cable routing work because it was another dept full of old, old boys who were just trying to get to tech week without injuring their cronic (Knee, elbow, wrist, etc...) And then blamed me because their AMX signal was run backwards. In my world the DMX Movers are clearly labeled with ins and outs without having to boost a freakin signal thru a cheesy box that's backwards to my thinking and four pin..... for christ sake.
And then they tell me it's O.K. cause the Minnesota guy is turning up tomorrow and they were actually ahead of shedule....GGRRRRRRR.....I hope I'm never like that. Exploiting my juniors.

What did you make of fainting?
I've only done it once with a box cutter knife in my hand during some set construction, some idiot tried to trim some wood while i was carrying it, looked at this knife in my hand for about 5mins while he tried to sort some clean cloth out, remember thinking is that bone its hit? every thing went blurry and i wend down!
Fainting was a real pleasurable experience! for me any way!
