I'm a bit less crazed than I've been for the last month because I finally finished this UN job.
On September 11 I went to an aikido seminar in Montreal. Montreal was great but I didn't see much of it. Our time was somewhat regimented, there's a whole set of social obligations built into the hierarchy of aikido. It was fun, just very organized fun.
Started up my Grad Sociology program again, taking 2 courses, Evolution of Sociological Theory and Statistics. And I'm supposed to decide what my Masters thesis paper is going to be about by December. At this moment I'm getting ready to run out the door to get on campus a couple of hours before my class so I can catch up on today's reading
and do some thinking about my thesis
I want to do a video ethnography that deals with Chinatown somehow...but I don't really know what video ethnography is yet, so I have to look through some journals, hopefully find some examples.
And now that I'm done with this UN job I can get back to my documentary and spend the $15K grant that's been sitting around since July.
That's all for now...going to try to check in more regularly here on SG...maybe even stop in on chat tonight/this week...don't be a stranger!
