This may be the morning I most resemble my profile picture. A long night of challengin work, with a late day awakening and a cup of coffee, strong and black.

After days of wet, spring snow, the sun is out. Watching the huge icicles fall from the roof has been pretty cool, but I am ready for MAY!

Hooray, Hooray its the 1st of May, the outdoor fucking starts today!

Woke up early to look at the snow drifting lightly, lazily down. Some flakes make little spirals as they make their way to the ground. Its warm enough that they just melt when they finally light on their appointed patch of dirt/rock/ pine needles. A little is sticking to the copper roof out over the atrium forming little fringes along the ridges.

Watching the sun come up out the window, a bit chilly, need to stoke the fire in the stove. Weekend was full of all the kinds of stress that make you awake and alive.

Really busy life at the moment, not much time for the brain to take a real breath. I am looking forward to a skiing roadtrip soon to change the surroundings for a bit.

Woke to a chill morning, the usual hubub, and a far, far star calling me. The usual hubub, and here I sit at home, able to work for so many from one spot.

Just back from 34 days on the road. First 3 weeks at the flight test center in Mojave, then almost 3 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Me, on an air force base (Eielson), what a hoot!
We made the front page of the Fairbanks newspaper. Must have been a slow news day for a research aircraft to get that much attention.

Whatta wet summer. I live in the high desert, damnit! I want some sun!

Off to CA soon, first Livermore, then Mojave. After that, Fairbanks, AK for some down home October Alaska fun (sheesh).

I am sitting in the Memphis airport at the end of 4 weeks of continuous travel. I will be quite happy to get home and crash in my own bed. Fog foggy fog. These days leave me sleepy, not a good way with so much to do.

Attempting to wax eloquent for my 1000th comment soon. Summer has really arrived here with the aspen trees filling out and the warm sunshine. I am sleeping outside a lot with my little boy and really enjoying things at the moment.
