Last week my best friend told me that his wife asked for a divorce. This was right before Thanksgiving and our trip up to his dad's to go hunting. I felt weird because I had great news about me and the girl. We have exchanged keys. This is a big step for me I've always kept my "fortress of solatude" and only let people in when I was there.
Monday she stayed over and in the morning and since she was off I had asked her to look at a problem with my laptop while I was at work. His words "Wow dude, you let her into your place and gave her the password to your laptop". For once in my life I have no issue with this. Finally growing up I guess.
My joy has kind of rubbed off on him a little bit but I know the next couple of months are going to bend hell for him. I took time off for the next two weeks for hunting but I'm going to be spending a couple of days moving his stuff into storage.
These are my mixed emotions right now.
