Nuit blanche.

Indeed, but I'm trying to be plain without being partisan. Sometimes highlighting partisan language makes its point better than countering directly; partly because it casts (justified) doubt on the honesty of the speaker. In my opinion, anyway.

I didn't disagree with your post, at all, and I do sympathise with your more general point. Cheers!

Since last Sunday: Phoenix. Denver. Minneapolis. Seattle. Salt Lake City. All on business, mid-lux hotel rooms that smell like recirculated air.

I've never seen so much of America, or so little.

Hey i read what you wrote on tankmuts journal. No your right. I think tankmuts talking about the ppl we deal with over here day to day. Not what was wrote on the board. I really dont know how i feel about anything anymore. Everyone bitchs about how we do things at home. But most walk into it blindly. Oh well. I know theres more to it then that. But theres alot of dirty shit that goes on. And just one person trying to do somthing is way to hard. SO where our we going as a people. Who knows. You think they way we deal with oursides is bad. Lol the insides not so much better. Well meow meow miao!!

All I wish is that I were working only on my RNC project (mentioned on BB) instead of the five other parts and pieces of my life. In a way, all I want to do is sleep late and eat well, but that never works for very long. And it's been a surprisingly lazy weekend, which makes me understand how the rest of the word...

Proxy - I got your newswire submission about Signal Orange. I think there may be a worthwhile story there, but you need to write it! biggrin If you'd rather, I could write something up and give you an acknowledgement. Let me know what you think. And for the record, I think it's fine to write up material about your own work.

Read the article and commented. I had a few other thoughts that might be more appropriate here:

I wonder if you might not have a bigger impact without the text on the shirt or maybe with one message [ie "xxx can't vote because they were killed in Iraq]. I like the idea of trying to get people to go to media events in the shirts - but what about picking a day to have everyone you send the shirts to wear them regardless of where they are? Do you think we would make the tv if 10,000 people wore orange shirts in New York the day dubya accepts the Republican nomination? Just a thought - if you get the numbers, it would be nice to see them all in orange at once [imagine how much that would freak everyone out - half the country in orange on the same day - all right I'm thinking too big]. good luck.

OK, so I got two paragraphs in the "anti-Republican National Convention" cover story of New York magazine today.

I think that I don't come across like an idiot, but you tell me. The important part, though, isn't me, it's the project itself, Signal Orange.

The polls show equivocal 50/50 around now, and it's going to be so close, this election. Anything anyone can do to...

Landed at Newark an hour ago and now : home. The house smells like air.

Attack. Decay. Sustain. Release.

Well, I can't quite talk about it yet, because I promised exclusivity, but the media event I'm engineering against the Republican National Convention looks like it's going to get some real press.

Now all I have to do is go ahead and do it. There's always that moment between the idea and the execution where I get so fucking nervous. The kind of nervous that...

I can't find any google entries for pompiers pyromanique, but I can't believe I made it up. "Firemen who love fire," I think I heard it once as metaphor rather than fact. But still, every metaphor starts in fact, or ends there.

Further, for the record, it was on Water Street and Pine, around 2PM, that a car drove by. I didn't notice it...

So murch did work on both "the conversation" and "the conversations" ?? That got me confused. Have you seen My Dinner with Andre, I think it's a great movie that sort of forces you into liking one character or another, all based around one conversation that looks seemless on the screen but was planned and accted out for months in advanced and meticulously shot out of sequence.

There was a My Dinner With Andre video game on the Simpsons where the controls were "tell me more" and "bon mot".

funny how they slip those things in.

It's today and it's Brooklyn. On the subway, there's a stray yellowjacket, he's far from the hive, and unlike the pigeons on the A train, this little fellow is not going to make it home.

Only half the people on the car have noticed the bee, which has landed on the shoe of an oblivious romance-novel reader. Equally oblivious, the bee starts to crawl up...
