Yesterday my "hockey is for everyone" t-shirt arrived! Friday was a good good day for me. I love that a sport that I have played since I was 6 has a community as great as the one we share here at SG. I have loved this sport and have been blessed in the relationships I build, travels I have been on, and experiences through it. I have been blessed to play with future NHL prospects, former pro players from the NHL, IHL, ECHL, WHA, College hockey in my 30s, Hall of Fame players ( Brian Trottier) and a slew of really talented amature players. I was trusted to be captain of my beer league team ( the Moose, Warbirds) for 15 years and in another league captain of the Bruins for 3 years. I have shared championships and losses, team mates weddings and funerals (3 former teammates have passed) the birth of team mates children and family events. In all, I cherish the Years and experiences and I love my sport. Cheers to all!
