I drove into work today to hear the news of shootings in Munich. The news was devistating because that is not how i remember the city. Munich is ling considered the safest city in all of Germany. When i was there, i was welcomed in all areas of the city, but found three friends who took me in, when in all honesty they didnt need to. I met Jens and Dagi through the SGGermany group here and they invited me out once i got there. The whole SGGermany group were all warm and welcoming telling me places to see, visit, festivals to try, holidays to experience, and citys of interest. I met Jens and Dagi out a few times watching their friends band play, pink drinks at the Sax (great story for another time) and a special birthday breakfast where they bought me a German cookbook. To think that such a beautiful city with its amazing citizens are going through this sickens me and breaks my heart. My thoughts and heart goes out to Germany, its people and all of Munich.
