I started off my weekend with slicing myself open at work, on of all things, a saftey knife. A SAFTEY KNIFE!!! Who the hell thought up that name??? It happened with about 2 hours left in the day and I was sent to a med check by our AM CARE team. It was thought I would need some stitches, however, almost 3 hours later when the doctor finally saw me, my thumb was pretty well closed up and no bleeding. To top it off, he asked me when I had my last Tetnis shot to which I replied "Um... last thursday." He didnt buy it. The shot was delivered by a nurse, whom I swear to God must be a beer league dart champion... or a serial killer. I know it didnt happen like this, but in my panic of having a needle come at me, I think she attacked like a rabid spider monkey looking for mango fruit. Afterwards I felt a little violated to say the least. She asked how as a hockey player, I am afraid of a littel shot? Hell as a diabetic, how am I afraid of a little shot? I have taken a puck to the face a half dozen times. In all fairness, every time I took a puck to the melon, it was in teh heat of the game and I only watched it coming twice. All other times it was a surprise. We have since come to the agreement that whenever I need a shot again, she will just have to stalk me like the crocidile hunter complete with a little pigme guide and blow dart me from behind a tree at 30 yards. Damn weekend!!! At least I get to see my Bruins play the Blackhawks tonight!!1 I love both teams so I win either way, but selfish,y I want to see a 7 game series!!! Bosco is doing a little better. the doctor thinks it is a disk issue so my boy has some anti inflamitories and some pain meds. He is still walking like a drunken sailor after a night in Tiajuana, but he doesnt call out in pain like he use to, and thats a good thing. I think he has arthritis in mis hips now, but we will visit that on his next visit to the vet. Hope everyones weekend is going well. I am off to work. Later
