Hockey season is almost over. In a way I am happy, but sad to see it end. This year was a losing year for the Moose with other teams bringing in former D 1 and former paid player talent. Incredible that in beer league there are still players who think that there are scouts in the stands and bring in players for a game or two just to pad points. The play offs started well. We held the #1 team in the league to only 4 goals starting the 3rd when I took a nice backhand to the eye. The result, while taping my face together was we went from losing 4-1 to losing 7-2 when I returned. The eye was a real beauty. Lets face it, I was no cover model to begin with, but after seeing my swollen eye, I knew I may never play violin again. My eye healed well in the week leading to our second playoff game where we held the #2 team in the league to only a 5-1 win. Both games are impressive with both the #1 & 2 taking all opponets by a margine of 8 goals or higher. One more weekend left, then our team grill out and My boys and I will start planning different tournys for the summer. I wish I could afford to skate the summer, but I need to work more because of teh diabetes and because I have to move by april 1st. For fun, I will post the best of my eye.
